    DOES NOT WORK...DON'T BUY FROM BEST BUY

    I received this on May 20 to replace my older TCL Roku TV...I should have googled all the reviews beforehand! This tv will NOT recognize ANY networks, which basically leaves it useless. I originally had it in the exact place as my older one, tried moving it to different locations, tried factory resets, and even set my router right next to it...NOTHING WORKED. I then ordered a new router...still not picking up a single network. I wanted to take it back to BB today, but was told the return period ended June 4. Are you serious??? Two weeks max to be able to return defective merchandise? SOOOOO frustrating and disappointing. Really can't afford to throw away this money right now! I'll go elsewhere from now on!

    Bad WiFi unit, MAC address zeros out

    TL;DR Roku TVs are great when the WiFi unit works correctly. I have 6 Roku devices and recommend this brand tv. Had to return this one to the store. It had no Ethernet port to try to connect that way, but after doing 3 factory resets over the course of 3 weeks, the unit would not give a MAC address besides zeros, and therefore could not connect to the internet. The store pawned off the S335 on me instead of this S325 to replace it saying it was the same, even showed me the remote. (I think they did this because they were out of stock, but didn’t tell me that). Ends up the tv they replaced it with doesn’t have the same ports on the back. We use this for our son who plays on an old gaming system that needed those ports. Just a hassle to have to keep going back and forth to the store. Had to order another adapter to use it. Just frustrated to have to spend more money on something to get it to work when the original product would have been fine if the hardware was good.

    I have a hard time getting local channels and I have tried different antennas and it is right by a window so it's a little disappointing

    TCL product was great. Picture was clear, my issue is with Roku. If you have cable you don’t need Roku. But, for people that are not connected with cable, it’s a great product. I personally am not in that category. I will never buy another TV with Roku. I was told this TV won’t work if I don’t get Roku subscription. I’m done, over done. If I have to return this TV, I will.

      Hi LilBit,

      In order to use the smart features of this TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). However, if you just want to use this TV as a traditional TV by connecting external devices through the various inputs and not use the smart features, you can elect to not connect this TV to the Internet at startup. You will still have access to all of the inputs and features of a traditional TV. Hope this helps!

    It’s a good tv just hard to see the picture because it’s a smaller screen. Had to sit closer to the TV to have a better view.

    The TV should have come with a Manual designed for seniors. It took a while to figure it out

    Went Black in less than 30 days

    It's a standard ROKU TV in a child's room. It did what it was supposed to do for about 25 days then the screen went black. Best Buys return policy is 15 days for non elite (Really Best Buy...15 days?). Now I have to wait 7-10 days for them to send me a box, so that I can send them my new TV that will take 7-10 days for repair. You get what you pay for. With the money you save on these budget TV's I would recommend getting the extended Best Buy warranty.
