    Normally I will only purchase Major brand TV, like Sony, Panasonic etc. Saw this cheap TCL brand on sale at good price. Never used wifi for TV before, even when TV equipped with wifi , just plug in set top box to watch. Turn out the wifi about 20 ft away from router was good streaming, no hesitation or delay whatsoever. Later found TCL is an up and coming brand in all major retailers including Costco, Target and of course Best buy. Good buy for less than $150.

    Bought for relatives dorm room. You don't need to have a credit card to setup. It is asked for if you want to subscribe to certain online streaming services. I set up a Roku account on Roku's website. If using for unencrypted digital cable tv be sure to update the firmware since there is an issue with old firmware and sound issues.
