    A Best Buy salesmen advised us to get this tv because it was less expensive than others. It’s less expensive for a reason. We have had a Sanyo for more than 10 yrs.; a Samsung for 5 years and never had the first issue with either. We have less than 40 hours of use on this tv and the screen goes to vertical pink and white lines and turns off. Incredibly, there’s a YouTube explaining what to do for this. We did it (Reset) 3x yesterday. It worked for 10-15 minutes and turned off. It’s probably heading for the trash, but am contacting manufacturer.

    Harbor Freight could make a better TV

    Worst TV I've ever bought. Had a TCL before that worked great but this one is nearly useless. Shuts off 1-2 times after turning on. Never stays online for Google assistant control. User interface is slower than Windows XP or 2000. Half the time it glitches back to the home screen or shuts down on itself. Don't bother with fast boot, it makes it worse. Only good thing they did was the remote. Had the TV for 4 months and ready to burn it. Not trusting TCL again.

    Decent but not great.

    The sound and picture are decent and on par with most TV’s in this class. The two stars are for the lack of extra HDMI ports and if you have an Xfinity remote, you cannot change the TV input with it to switch to a game console etc. you have to use the TCL remote.

Many Universal and cable box remotes can be programmed to control select features on the TV. You can visit https://support.tclusa.com/tv-remote-codes for more information. If you do not see your specific remote, you would need to contact the remote's manufacturer to obtain the remote code from them. Hope this helps!

    I purchased another TCL prior to this one. After I purchased this second TCL, my first stopped working after having for just over 2 years. The backlight burned out. Research it…. It’sa common issue and never again TCL

Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.     This TV performs as expected for a very cheap throw away TV that it is. I give to 2 stars because the picture quality is not great and it randomly crashes in the middle of using apps. As a TV that barely gets used though it does suffice.

    Beware!

    TV will not download Spectrum or Roku APP. No one at TCL could help. Spectrum had to come out. I continue to use Roku but streaming is geared for Android and not for any other use. Unlike 3000 model this one wont let you watch live TV.

      Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. This is an Android TV that uses an Android operating system. The Spectrum TV and Roku Channel apps are not supported on this TV. This TV has access to 5,000+ apps with over 500,000 TV shows and movies available through the Google Play Store. You can also access over the air TV by connecting an antenna. Hope this helps!

    Don’t buy

    Very poor quality. It was fairly easy to set up and load my Hulu and Prime accounts but wouldn’t stream the video (displayed each site’s Home Screen just fine but couldn’t stream anything). I called their tech support and we tried a few things and he said it appeared that the streaming app wasn’t working.

    1 Major Flaw!

    Everything works except the USB. Watching movies from USB won't go back the main home menu. It will give you a blank screen. The other buttons still work but switching from usb to main screen will give you a blank screen.

    Failed Warranty Delivery

    On 12/26/20 I picked up my 40" TCL TV, described below, that I had purchased with an additional, extended warranty. SKU: 6408874 Model: 40S330 Description: TCL 40S330 LED 720P HDTV Order #: 1120352615898 Created At: BBY_480 I was told that my warranty documentation would be e-mailed to me. However, my computer failed about this time and I was not able to access my e-mail. My husband then called the store and requested that the warranty be forwarded to his e-mail address. We have not yet received an e-mail with the warranty documentation and would like to receive it.

    Not the best TV I have ever purchased.

    Unfortunatley this TV is not the best. I find the picture somewhat blurry actually. Purchased for my Mother. She is satisfied with the picture, but TV shuts off by itself if you watch 1 channel for too long.

    Some apps didn't work

    TV was easy to operate but a bunch of apps didn't work like netflix and hulu. I returned it and got a replacement but the replacement had the exact same problem. Weird that some apps did work like showtime and youtube but others didn't. I did a factory reset and software update on both but still didn't work. I looked up the netflix error code (UI-800-3 (307006)) and it turns out it's an issue with the hardware and/ or software on the manufacturer's part.

    Promising at first

    I returned my 1 one because it was a open box from a online purchase. No remote and legs completely useless. Return it and they gave me my money back or I grab a new one for open box price. No brainer. I grabbed a new one . It worked as advertised for a few weeks. But chromecast isn't responding I can't even mirror my phone. Internet access is limited. Even though the signal is strong. Don't bother spend $50 more . Buy a proper name brand.

    The tv had some good features like microphone to speak instead of typing. I didn’t like the fact I had to use a Google account to use it. There is also a security issue with this particular tv.
