    This TV is such a good performer and feature packed for the sale price I paid. Yes, the included "getting started" booklet is just the very basic setup stuff, but the full manual is available at their website. You really should read it to get the most benefit., as these sets are not the TV's of 20 years ago. Perfect out of the box, and I updated the set and Android right off. TCL should have the set automatically prompt the user for this. Sound of built in speakers was actually very good compared to many others, though a sounder or audio system would be better. Picture quality is great for 1080P, and black levels and contrast are right on. Built-in antenna tuner did much better than the set that this one replaces. Try to catch a sale and you've got a terrific value.

    I've had this tv in the guest bedroom/workout room. It worked solid for about 2 years. I got a chromecast because the interface for the TV started messing up. However - at the 2.5 year mark even this started randomly redirecting to the home screen. Like i would use the chromecast and somehow the input would change to the tv's smart tv.

    Bought to use as a second PC monitor, and it does great. Plus the android platform is quite nice. Easy to navigate and organized. The specs on here say that the TV does not have HDR, which I don't believe it does on the smart platform, but when used on a PC it does indeed have HDR capabilities. My PC is able to activate HDR when using this TV. You even get the HDR icon that pops up on the TV's input channel information splash when you activate the HDR on windows.

    Auto-dimming makes the TV useless - crap product!

    I bought this TV 6 months ago, and have been using it regularly for the last 3 months. The picture quality normally is great. But whenever the content goes dark (i.e. it’s a nighttime scene), the screen seemingly auto-dims, making it even darker, to the point of not being able to make out anything. It’s quite ridiculous. Whether I’m watching cable content on my set top box, or streaming from Peacock or YouTube, this happens. And from Googling, this appears to be a common TCL auto-dimming problem - either with the hardware going bad or the software being poorly written. Doesn’t matter how cheap the TV is - if the screen goes dark, it’s unusable. Quite ridiculous - my Vizio TV’s worked (and still works) fine for 10 and 15 years respectively. Only 6 months in, my TCL already trash.

    This tv sucks. Returning tomorrow. Netflix doesn't work, none of the other apps will play, the sound sucks, the picture quality is the only thing decent about it. Not worth the money.

    tv will not even turn on.

    TV will not turn on only 6 months past the 1 year warranty. The first year was great but if you don't want a throw away product after 1 year then I suggest you spend you money elsewhere. Received no compensation or help from TCL other than bring it to a repair shop after multiple emails and trouble shooting steps. Would not recommend.

    NO CBS SPORTS HQ AND CHROMECAST HAS FEE'S TO USE..

    This new TV is no good as we cannot even get CBS Sports HQ on it. The Chromecast is no good as it has fee's to use. My Roku TV and all other devices get the CBS SPORTS HQ Channel free and it is the only one that has live sports updates and is free. I am taking it back to Best Buy and getting another Roku TV.

    Garbage! There's only a few apps loaded into the system. All ABC/Disney/Google apps. I am returning for a Roku TV.
