Lousy remote not the full Roku remote with WiFi

Roku remote with WiFi and IR... also bought roku ultra for my main TV later ... same same Roku remote with WiFi and IR technology and voice... now I buy a year and a half TCL Roku 40” 1080 technology a year or more later AND it include a cheap ROKU remote with no WiFi pairing technology and no voice which would be OK BUT only IR support that works lousy... cheap trick to get price down with inferior product... not clearly specific... truly disappointed with Best Buy... making a full return this week with a disappointed customer Regards Erik

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Different models feature different remotes. This specific model features a standard IR remote. In addition to the remote that comes with the TV, you can download the free Roku mobile app on your Smartphone or tablet to use as a remote. Through the Roku mobile app, you gain access to power toggle, volume toggle, private listening, voice search, and more. Hope this helps!

It so far has done everything I need it to do. It plays his learning games and his Disney movies. I live that I am also able to use my Netflix on the tv.

Roku interface is easy to use, and 1080p was all they needed for a bedroom TV at a great sale price.

The smart tv functionality is only okay but I definitely recommended using a streaming stick instead of the built in channels.

The TCL had no issues and even had more features that the previous brand.

Buggy Roku - overall pretty lame TV

I got this for my boys' room and it's been a pain. The App/TV crashes on occasion, Wi-fi network connection drops even though it's in a prime signal area in the house. I shouldn't have broken stride getting this TCL and just stuck with LG like the other TVs in the house. All my LGs are consistently excellent.

Perfect for a 1080P Roku TV

I set the default input to her cable box and showed her the Netflix button. I mounted it on a standing swivel mount. She's loved it ever since.

When I found out that it didn’t support the spectrum app, I traded it in for the roku version. I am very satisfied with this tv.
