Worthless; won't last

I've had the tv for a year and half and the IR receiver doesn't work making the TV absolutely useless. All I can do is turn the TV on and change the input. Can't change the volume. Can't change the channel. Can't launch a streaming service. Nothing else. Even when the tv worked it was slow to respond and frequently buggy. I expect TVs to last longer than 18 months. Will never buy a TCL product again.

Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. Crazy tv

Hard to turn off , it flowed in the dark after turning off !!! I had to unplug from the wall !! It’s now a return just waiting for another tv to be installed !

Worst TV ever purchased

Had to return after one week because the would not respond and randomly turn-off or go back to home while playing movies. When I received the new one, had the same exact problem. 6months in with this TV and it keeps randomly turning off, and having MANY problems with playing anything on any app. Worst tv ever. Dont purchase.

Poor quality

There's a smell that makes me nauseous when I am in the room with this TV I have not used it yet only set it up. TV stopped working after 2 months

Now the tv turns on by itself and doesnt let me do anything! Do not waste your money on a tcl tv.

Picture failed less than a month after purchase.

I should've done better research as this seems to be a common problem with these tv sets. This set would be a great value if the quality and longevity was better.

It only works with Internet downfall

The over-the-air guide will not populate because that requires Internet, but you should still be able to watch content. stopped connecting to wifi suddenly after 2 months

Suddenly this morning, the tv said it doesn't have a connection to wifi. I got Error 016. I went to help sites and saw many others who had the same problem. I tried their solutions and the TCL suggestions but they did not work for me either. (restarting modem and TV simultaneously; checked all connections and passwords; etc. I bought this tv just 2 months ago. it was a big investment for me. But, like many other owners found, it could not be fixed. return window ended one month ago. Higly disappointed as all my tvs over the years lasted decades.

The Crashing TV

price is good but not quality

When streaming, you would want to check your WiFi signal strength. For this TV, you would want to make sure than you that you have a minimum of 5.0 Megabits per second when streaming 1080p content. Disappointment

Complete disappointment. Got everything set up from the wall mount to taking the tv out of the box and installing on the wall. I plug it in, it starts up fine and then goes to the set up screen and nothing. Remote or TV stays on the set up screen and because of the non response of either the tv or remote it goes into shutdown mode. Will be returning this first thing in the morning and exchanging it for either a Vizio or Samsung.
