For the price of two MLB tickets, I can watch a full season of ballgames and see the seams on every pitch thrown. I can witness how the ravages of time have affected Hugh Grant’s face and Renee Russo’s neck. Now that’s entertainment!

For the price the picture, sound and app utilization is excellent. I do not game on it so I can’t speak to that but for tv and movie watching it is impressive.

Don't waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My parents bought this TV for me a few years ago as a gift. I had purchased a TV that was a different brand but was 2" too large for where I was going to have it. They bought me this one because it was the same price and the size I needed. Big mistake. This TV worked fine out of the box, but within 6 months it started restarting on its own. If you Google this issue, you'll find that it's a common and known issue with TCL TVs. What they don't tell you is every once in a while if you're lucky like me, you'll get one so bad that it will start factory resetting itself. After trying every troubleshooting option I could find online, I contacted TCL support for help. Since it was within the warranty period, they made me jump through ridiculous hoops and retry the troubleshooting options I already told them didn't work. I was asked to send them a video of the issue. I had already moved the broken TV out of its location and was storing it since it was inoperable. I gave up on getting anywhere with them and my parents replaced the TV with a smaller TCL TV that ironically works fine. After the TV had sat for over a year unused, my dad forgot that it didn't work and started using it again. To my surprise, it didn't shut off or restart! I thought, "Oh, maybe they put out a software update that patched the problem!" Wrong again. In less than 6 months of using the TV, it once again started shutting itself off and on again and even sooner than before had begun factory resetting itself. At this point, I was ready to cry as I had hoped that the issues I was experiencing with my TV were resolved. My parents paid a lot more than what the current price is for this TV now. It's not worth what we paid for it then, and it's not worth what they're asking for it now. I bought a Roku TV from a different manufacturer in a larger size for the same price as what my parents paid for this one, and they have not had a single issue with it since they had it and I bought it the same day as this one. I'm so disgusted with TCL and their unsupportive support staff that I will never purchase anything from them ever again. Don't waste your time or your money. Research before you buy and don't buy cheap just because you like the price tag. I promise you'll regret it.

Nice lower-tier smart TV

We were familiar with Roku due to having a stick on another TV. The resolution seems to fluctuate, and there is a slight gap between the outer black frame and the top of the display where a sliver of horizontal white light shows through, but other than that, we have been pleased. For less than $200, it was a good buy.

I love the TV so much BUT...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this TV. I love all of the Roku channels and the picture quality is incredible. My only complaint is I just picked up the TV from my local Best Buy yesterday and there’s already a dead pixel. The pixel isn’t noticeable unless I’m right up by the screen looking for it. I hope this won’t affect the quality down the line.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hadn't had any problems with the picture quality however the wifi doesn't connect properly. I have good wifi as all the other device's in my home work smoothly but using this TV I constantly get shut out of apps like sling and Netflix and worst of all my Pandora won't even open at all. Keeps saying a problem occurred, please try again. Really disappointed because I have a Roku bar in my kids room that works fine. Also, I wasn't able to access my free 30 day sling. Thankfully I had it already.

New TCL easy to install and set up
