I first want to say that I read through about an hour of reviews before deciding to purchase this TV. Fully understanding that sometimes you get what you pay for. I've waited almost a week to write this review because I wanted to give myself time to fully evaluate this TV. I give it 5 stars for price and quality. I'm very happy I took a chance to try a lesser known brand over the bigger names. The things that stand out the most that other people complained about are 1) no volume buttons on the remote. Not true. They are on the side of the remote. 2) having to enter your credit card for the Roku account. Also not true. At the bottom there is an option "skip this step" so you do not have to enter any payment information. 3) some people complained about the sound and picture quality. If you go into the settings, you can change all of those things to your liking. There's even a "game mode". So overall, I'm extremely happy and I would reccomend this TV to anyone who is looking for a great TV at an even better price.

Had an accident and had to get a new tv. Increased the size. Very easy to set up. Clear pic. Mom is happy

Excellent replacement for a smaller 30" TV we had that died. The picture is great, the sound is much better and the blacks are deeper and truer - doesn't make everything look like flat video! Good bargain, ROKU is fine, not my first choice (I'm an Apple TV guy) but works well and the redesign makes it a little bit more user friendly.

I love my new 40” tv. It’s just the right size for me and easy to use. I bought a 43” Samsung first and had it delivered. When we set it up the screen was all cracked. I don’t blame Samsung or Best Buy. It would have been handled by many before it got to me. But Best Buy took it back and refunded the money so while I was there I bought the 40” TCL. Best Buy was also very good about protecting me from getting the Covid-19.

Great TV. Love he roku feature and apps. Picture is excellent quality.

I was incredibly skeptical of buying this bargain tv for two reasons- even though it is scientifically impossible to notice a 4K resolution on a tv this size I really still thought I might be missing something by buying 1080p; and I was unsure of a bargain tv brand I hadn’t heard of Couldn’t have been more wrong on both fronts. I love this tv and it couldn’t have been easier to pick up using online ordering.

The TCL TV’s are a good tv for the price. All the apps you need and want are available. I have no complaints with the setup process and ease of use. The only problem I have is that every so often, the tv freezes up and reboots on its own. There’s no known reason why and I tech support wasn’t able to give us an answer why it does it.

Great value for a bedroom TV. Easy to add apps to the Roku platform. Would purchase again.

Great mid-level TV what’s good picture and sound and a great price

Super clear picture. Can change channels quicker than any other TV.

Hung the television on the wall in our office and it was perfect for that as we didn't need to hook it up to a cable box. Picture is good. Menu is easy to navigate. Only complaint is we've had the television suddenly reboot approximately 3 times since we've had it in the middle of a show. We ordered a longer cord to use since the outlet was further away than the original cord provided, but it is a TCL replacement. Good buy for the price!

Bought this for my 80ish year old mom. She finds it easy to navigate the menu. Simpler than having the Roku device and TV separate, using two remotes. The TCL/Roku is straightforward to operate. And it was a breeze to set up. Picture quality is very good. Audio, not great, but much better than other models I've seen in this screen size range.
