We've really enjoyed our tv. Easy set up. Beautiful picture.

We bought this television for our guest room and the picture is pretty good especially for the price! The sound was a little weak but ample for our guests in this bedroom so that is the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5. I would recommend this as a secondary television for anyone looking for one for an average sized room. Very easy set up too!

Never disappoints. TCL TV's are a good value for the money. They look good, sound well and have good features. TCL is the only brand we use.

I have to get use to the remote has no numbers to change channels. It's a Firestick remote and television. My first one. A bit challenging. A good price for the item.

Great picture and just ask it to take you to your show. You can’t beat that. Just pressed the button, said “GODFATHER” and it showed me a few options to watch immediately. All 3 godfathers were up and ready to watch. Amazing picture with great depth and sharpness.

Once adjusting the settings, the colors look pretty good. For the sale price this TV is well worth it. The audio could use some help on this TV. Even the mid-level tones are tuned rather high. Adding a cheap Best Buy sound bar makes a good improvement in the sound quality.

It operates easily of my antenna. I don't want cable TV and am afraid of being charged if I try to stream something. So, I watch the programs that I am accustomed to watch. The picture is clear, the sound is good. What more could anyone ask? It is a very good TV.

Purchased this tv for our motorhome. The colors are bright and the tv sound is good. The menu to operate the tv is straight forward and easy to use. Very pleased with the quality of the picture. Easy to set up streaming.

This is the first time I buy a TCL tv, usually are Samsung or LG. Tell the truth, I was surprised with its quality, yes everything is over my image, what I ever thought with its price. So satisfy and happy

Works better than expected. It's in home office/guest room and is a simple tv that works well. I was not expecting a lot out of this unit, but it actually has a pretty good screen and the controls are well implemented. If you're looking for a smallish tv and don't care for 4K, this is a good buy.

I recently moved into a small apartment. A 40" TV was a perfect size for this little room. The TV itself is good, the images are bright. The audio from the built-in is lacking but a sound box might resolve that...plus I'm old and hard of hearing so some of the problem is probably my ears anyway. I got this from Best Buy's Outlet store so it was probably an open box deal. The screws to hold the legs on was missing but they got some out of another box. For the money it was a good deal.

This was a purchase to temporarily use while my 83 inch Samsung undergoes repair or replacement. The picture quality does not approach that of the large TV, but if it were being evaluated a dozen years ago, it would have been considered excellent. And for the price, it is an outstanding value!

For the price the picture is great. Built in speakers sound flat and tinny but can be fixed with a soundbar. System is slow and laggy but i have a Apple TV 4k connected so it’s faster using that

The picture looks great and it works as design. Only downfall is the sound system is not really good quality. Once I added a soundbar to it no problem at all

Purchased this TV on a deal of the day event. The 40” screen is an improvement in the over the 32” it replaced. The 1080P resolution is more than enough for a guest room TV. Sound could be better, and is average at best. Wall mounting uses VESA 100x100 mounting pattern and M6x12mm screws. Overall, this is a great budget friendly TV. The TCL TV app provides plenty of “free” TV to stream.
