  • Too much buffering on start up

    I wanted to like this TV, but when I turn it on it buffers for way too long for me and then when it finally quits buffering it goes to the last program I was watching a day ago at the spot I turned the TV off a day ago.

    Purchased this to replace a similar size 2016 TCL that served us well. The new one was also 40” - has a lot of fancy features, but only has 1 HDMI port. The 2016 version had more.

    This is the worst tv I’ve ever owned. It forces you to use Google play, which doesn’t recognize streaming services purchased from any other platform. It doesn’t have a microphone on the remote, despite that being referred to in description and “support center.” It’s been 4 months of pure frustration. Someone needs to give me a refund.

    Works okay, slow, no apple airplay. Sleep timer is buried in the menu, no quick buttons. No backlight on remote. There is a constant ringing from the tv while powered off. Not many options for a 40 inch tv. The pioneer one i got first had a bad screen while streaming. Aggravating.

    Didn’t research well enough. Mounts were 4 inches apart but I needed 6 inches for my mount. Returned to store for Roku.
