Great value for screen size, but has issues

THE BAD No numbers on remote control and no manual buttons on unit itself. THE UGLY No numbers on remote control or manual buttons, to force you to use voice control, which is a huge privacy issue. So completely tied into Amazon's ecosystem that the TV is all but crippled when you're not logged in. Does not tell you anything if a signal drops or if it's downloading anything. TV goes completely dark. TV seems to turn off randomly. For the price I paid for this screen size, I can't complain, but this unit is bound to become cripple ware at some point when it becomes too old to run the latest update of Fire TV or Amazon decides to stop support for this particular model. Buy at your own risk, and plan to repurpose it as a computer monitor or some other type of display at some point when the inevitable happens.

The only complaint I have is the voice control of cable TV channels. You have to tell it the network name of the channel to get it to change to a station on cable TV. Example: The TRAVEL channel is on channel 70 in my area. When i say tune to channel 70 it responds saying I cant find 70. When I say tune to travel channel, it then changes correctly. I would give a 5 star if it wasn't for that. In my opinion, its flawed in that respect. Possible software update could fix this. Just beware of this.

Great tv with one flaw

The flaw is in light at the bottom of the tv that only comes on when the TV is off. The light cannot be disabled or turned off and if you cover it, you cover the sensor and cannot operate the tv. If the TV is in a bedroom and you like to sleep in total darkness, this is not the tv for you. Wish I had known before purchasing.
