Couldn't get the Spectrum remote to program with the TCL product. Spectrum tech said that none of the TCL TV's work with Spectrum's remote control units. Best Buy salespeople should have been aware of that problem. Exchanged TV for Samsung set. Works perfectly.

A HORRIBLE BEST BUY EXPERIENCE

The television didn't come with any of the accessories, (remote, screws, legs, or manual). Best Buy refused to send me the missing items and insisted that I, a disabled senior citizen who does not drive, return the 40 inch TV to either a store or a UPS drop-off, I wasn't even able to left this TV, let alone carry it anywhere. Best Buy caused the problem and expected me to be inconvenienced to resolve it. The TV was sent back to Best Buy on 12/20/2024 and as of 12/31/2024 I still have not received my refund. I am completely disgusted with Best Buy's customer service and will never purchase ANYTHING from them again!!

Super cheap and fragile

All Deals Are Not Worth It

I needed a TV for my spare room and didn't want to spend to much money on it. I purchased TLC-40 as a refurbished set. I have purchased several refurbish products from Best Buy without any issue. I always felt like I got my monies worth from the purchase. However, this was the outlier!! The set was only used 2 times before just STOPPING! There was no warning it just never turned back on again. So it's really difficult to know if this model was a poor choice or was the refurbishment just a rip off for this purchase. I won't try my luck when I am ready to purchase another set. For now the guest room only has an I-pad and an laptop-no TV for my elderly guest.

If you only need it for 5 months it's great

I thought I would try a TCL because they are cheap. This one lasted for 5 months before the power supply started failing and the TV would randomly turn off multiple times a day. I contacted tech support and after an HOUR of troubleshooting they told me I would need to take a video of it failing and send it to them. It is pretty difficult to capture a random event on video! I will not purchase a TCL anything ever again.

Nope,nope, nope

As soon as it's starting up you could see all the light leakage, on the top left hand corner. It almost looked like a d with a line under it. It was a cluster of bad pixels, probably 30 to 40 pixels. I literally took off the screen cover to make sure it wasn't at the logo, but nope it was definitely a bad set of cluster of pixels. I don't know how their quality control could not see this. It was super obvious. Anyways, Reese turned the set and I'm looking for a different brand now.

Stopped working after 18 months

Neither Amazon 0r the manufacturer was able to troubleshoot or reset. TCL is trying to tell me they never had this problem before which I find hard to believe

Fire vs Roku
