    Got the fire tv option for this one. Underneath the tcl logo is a led light that shines when tv is off. Bright enough to read by. Cannot turn off unless its a roku version. Speakers sound like putting the cell phone into a solo cup.

    The sound system was not great and I was unable to connect my streaming service. Had to move it to the guest room and take my Visio to use on my patio

    My child opened it on Christmas and the screen was broken!! We didn’t even get to exchange because they were sold out. I had to pay more for similar fire tv.

    Buy cheap, get cheap.

    It was inexpensive, but I got what I paid for. The Fire operating systems has problems with other apps like Pluto and Paramount+. I've had to reload them several times, which only helps for a short time. The speakers sounded very tinny, so I bought a sound bar. Eventually I just plugged a Roku into the other HDMI port, and it works great!

    The sound on the tv is not great at all. Out of 3 purchased, we have to unplug after use and plug black in 2 of them for the sound to even come on.

    40" TCL fire TV

    40" TCL fire TV is annoying the crap out of me. It gets lousy wifi reception and antenna TV reception. It's sitting 2 feet from the router and often will only get 1mbs of data when my TV in the other room gets over 50mbs. I ended up having to use the Ethernet cable to now get 85mbs. I also find the sound to be only ok

    Terrible customer service and defective product!

    Do not buy. My TCL started going to a blank screen while viewing. Past the 2 weeks with Best Buy so had to go to TCL customer service. After an hour we had reset everything. Within 24 hours same problem. I asked for a refund. Made me do other procedures. After 4 calls and at least 45 minutes for each call, not resolved and no return!! Very stressful ! NEVER AGAIN

    Sound issues

    Purchased this item a few weeks ago and the sound cuts off while the picture still plays, has happened 4 times since i purchased it, i have to unplug it and plug it back in, then the sound works again it is quite irritating
