    It has factory sound you need to purchase sound bar , they did not tell me much on this tv

However, this TV is compatible with most soundbars and speakers and can be connected via HDMI ARC, Optical, Bluetooth, or the 3.5mm headphone jack.     The sound is terrible on this TV. Everything else is okay with TV but sound quality is terrible

    Terrible sound made me cry

    It doesn't matter how good the picture quality is if it sounds like the audio is coming through a tin can on a line of string. This is the worst sounding TV I've ever encountered. Will be returning it in the morning.

    Do Not Buy

    DO NOT BUY! TV takes forever to turn on, contacted support and they had me do a power drain which means unplugging and pressing and holding a button and then restarting the TV. This works but have to do every week or 2. Contacted support again and their only suggestion is to unplug the TV when not watching it!

    I do not recommend this TV, After 3 weeks of buying this TV, The TV is freezing on me, the voices freeze for moments at a time, I cannot hear a full program without it freezing. I just got rid of the box to see if I could bring it back after the 2 week return policy.

    I would buy a Roku TV , best yet not a SMARTV !

    Ting sound , Google tv has screensaver which you cant shut off , unless you go under has a developer option like Android phones system. Veatool soundbar doesnt stay connected from HDMI soundbar to TCL ARC HDMI connections,

    No streaming after a few weeks

    For the first weeks, the TCL - 40" Class S3 S-Class 1080p FHD HDR LED Smart TV with Google TV was wonderful. After that, all my streaming services wont load. the settings show that I have internet and the signal is EXCELLENT! Of course it started after I could return. It is now pretty much not useful.

    First and last TCL TV for me. Knew something wasn’t right with this when it took an hour to update. Nothing wrong with Wi-Fi. Verified against other tv in sane location. 2 weeks later it starts blinking screen and unable to use apps. Also, this tv takes a long time to turn on. Returned.

    It worked for a day then the sound went out. Turned it off and turned it on and it worked but did it again, so I returned instead.

    TV only actually turns on half the time. Other half the time the sound doesn't work. It's a cheap TV but I didn't think it would be complete garbage. Picture quality is poor as well...when it actually does turn on.

    Poor quality picture the sound on it is terrible I think I just got a bad TV in general I'm not saying all the other TVs are like this at this brand it's just this one internal is pretty terrible

    Total junk. I would never buy a TCL ever again. I've had to do a cold restart 4 times to get it to work (unplug, wait 5 min, replug). I will call TCL tomorrow and see what they have to say about it. Problematic electronics.

    We returned this product due it not working properly. There were major internal issues. We could not get even hardly use the remote. Google doesn’t have this figured out yet.

    Extremely difficult to set up. The included remote is different than shown in the setup manual and no instructions how to use it. Difficult to impossible to add apps.
