    I tried several times to adjust the picture but there is something wrong with the color and brightness. I just don’t know. It hurts my eyes. This is ok for game console and for kids. Paid $259 plus taxes but not worth it. I still love my samsung smart TV.

    I bought this based on the strong reviews. Maybe I just got a lemon, but the color is all washed out and drab, and the image is dark. Every time I watch is a disappointment. Samsung tv's I've purchased from Best Buy in the past have worked great from the moment of set-up. This TV feels like a throwback to color pictures of decades ago. On the positive side, Total Tech set was great -- good communication, came exactly when promised, and the techs were efficient and helpful.

    It's the worse TV I've ever had. And I'm not all that sure that I would buy there again. Eversince I first came there to look for a TV the experience with the sales floor associates were not at all interested to help. When they did start helping they would walk away to other customers.

    Best TV for Small Apartment

    This TV is perfect. You can get any channel you’d like without making the screen overly complicated. One of my favorite parts about it is that if you don’t want to watch TV on it, and you only want to use a gaming system, you don’t have to have an account to play. You actually can own the TV you bought, unlike those Amazon TVs that require an account to do absolutely anything. This TV fits perfect in my small apartment. I won this TV a few years back and had to sell it for a move. I decided to get it again after a failed attempt to get a Toshiba.

    Defective power input/cord

    TV is humming extremely loud when on and the noise is coming from where the power cord is connected to TV. Should have gone with the previous version, they probably cut too many corners on this one like everybody else nowadays. Crazy thing, i have two 55 inch TVs at home but they are previous versions and zero issues.

    I bought the roku tv and got it home and set it up and just love the programming on it. I love how easy it was to setup myse3lf and how much I have enjoyed all the free stuff to watch on it. I love it. And it was very reasonable pricewise also.

    Nothing spectacular but for the non geek,

    It's gonna be perfect for what my daughter wants or needs. I bought this because I thought the TV would be an improvement over another TV I purchased in the past. The colors are nice and clear. Plus I couldn't go wrong for the price. I really wanted the Micro-LED TV but it does not come in this 43 inch size as I have the 55 inch one that does.

    This is the second TCL tv I have purchased and am very pleased with the picture and sound.Had a problem with my first tv purchased in which the screen would go pink on and off and got in touch with TCL they told me what I had to do and after that I've had no problems with it.

    The picture is great! For the price point, this is a great TV. You're not going to get booming sound or anything spectacular from the built-in speakers, but they work for what it's worth. I got this to install in the home gym and was quite surprised to see that Roku now has a DirecTV app that allows me to stream my DTV channels directly to the TV without any additional boxes, etc. I may get a 2nd one to hang in the office at this price. It's nice and light, so just about anyone can hang this without issue and with the most basic tools. I used this with the $30 BestBuy TV mount and it works perfectly.

    This review is for the TCL 43" Roku TV 43S455 This is an excellent upgrade from my 1st gen (32" Vizio 720p lcd TV). The slim border allows a much larger viewable screen with about the same size TV box that this one replaces. I chose this TV because of the Roku system which I've been familiar with for many years. I do not have cable or satellite, only antenna and streaming. I really like how the on-screen menu incorporates the antenna and streaming guides seamlessly together. The older TV setup was very cumbersome to switch back and forth between the two. I love the picture quality! It is excellent! The sound quality is good, but It works better with my old Vizio sound bar. I was able to reprogram my old cheapie remote control (model GE CL4 7252) to work with reasonably well this TV. The only thing missing is the ability to type in a channel that has a decimal point, which is mainly the over-the-air ones. The other channels can be directly changed to by using the number pad. The remote that comes with the TV is just a Roku remote without a number pad. No biggie, but its worth trying to get your old remote to work if you can. I purchased this TV about two weeks ago and I am very happy that I did.

    Decent picture quality. Wide selection of Roku offered channels. Sound is okay, but needs help from a sound bar or external speakers. I recommend as a mid-level TV for an average size room. Best Buy always has what I'm looking for.

    AVOID IF YOU WATCH LIVE TV

    It was cheap. I bought the Rokuy because I'd had a stick ROKU for years and it worked wonderfully. The streaming site functions work fine, but the LIVE TV (i.e., antenna connected over the air channels) functionality is terrible. The TV comes with a roku remote so no channel changing options there. As far as I can tell, it's not an option to use an universal remote. Also no last channel button. I like to switch back and forth between sport events. This is just not easily possible with this TV. In fact, usually within two minutes, the only way I can change to a different OTA channel is to exit to the home page and come back in and change to the channel I want. In theory, clicking the left button should give you the channel menu screen, but it doesn't work after a minute or two. Thus, the need to exit to the home page.... I've hidden most channels so that I can more quickly navigate to the channel I want using the up/down arrows (instead of slowly going thru 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 6.4 etc. to get to the next numbered channel.) So here's the process. 1) I decide I want to change the channel 2) I try the left arrow button. 3) It doesn't bring up the channel menu. 4) I exit to the home screen. 5) I re-enter the live tv screen. 6) I use the up/down arrow buttons to navigate to a different channel. Rinse & repeat everytime you want to change a channel after the first minute or two. I also set up the Live tv USB drive for recording, but although it formatted the drive and seemingly worked, it no longer appears as a working option. Finally, it's hard to say with certainty, but the picture on ESPN sporting events is quite dark. That may be more a function of ESPN filming quality. Not as bad on ESPN or ESPN2 as their other channels. For example, for a team with a dark uniform and a darkly dressed crowd, jersey numbers even white on a black background are not discernible and the crowd is a black mass. I was able to remedy this to a degree by increasing the brightness and putting it in sports mode. It's okay, but not great. So this was not the right tv for me and the fact that basic features have malfunctioned immediately, is not a good sign. Hope this helps someone else avoid my buying mistake.

Currently, our smart TVs do not support the direct input of channel numbers for OTA. However, if your TV is connected to the Internet, you can press the left arrow key to populate a channel guide and navigate channels this way. Additionally, you can enable "favorites" for over the air channels so that your most-watched channels will automatically appear towards the top. To enable favorites you would go to Home>Settings>TV inputs>Antenna TV>Favorite Channels>Enable.
