Died after 1 1/2 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had for a year and a half. It was the only thing killed by a short power outage and seems to commonly get a "black screen of death" after looking up issues. Not a recommended long term t.v.

Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. Great...then not so great !!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV, and the picture was AWESOME....for 2 weeks. Then it went haywire. Color scheme was pyschedelic. I called the Good Guys and TCL and I tried all their ways to fix it. Didn't work. Best Buy took the old one away away and gave me a new one. The picture, once again, was AWESOME. I loved this TV. Warranty was for 12 months. Then doomsday hit. In the 13th month, the picture went totally black. Again, I called Good Guys and TCL. I did all the things they told me to do and NOTHING. To repair it would have cost as much as a new TV. No thanks. I see all the great reviews and I can see why. I loved this TV...while it was working. I am at a crossroads trying to decide if I will give it one more try, or pony up and pay a lot more money for one of the name brands.

Poor quality

Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a gift for my mom almost 11 months now there were times when some programs would not work or it would jump off the wifi or it goes on and off by itself but that was bearable but now the tv went black with only sound coming from it sometimes tried everything to fix it and nothing... Would not recommend this brand to anyone.

Avoid TCL

Googled solutions but none worked. Disappointed as it cost more than other brands, but proved to be junk. Don’t believe me? Google “TCL black screen” and check it out

Constant overheating warnings.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within days of the 1-year expiry period ending, this TV started giving us overheating warnings. These warnings pop up on the screen every few minutes. We've tried everything tech support recommended, but they've finally just told us that the TV is out of warranty now and there's nothing we can do except try to take the TV off the wall (where it currently has about 3 inches of space behind it) and put it somewhere else where it has 6+ inches for air circulation. In today's market of flat panel TVs that can be mounted flush with the wall, that's pretty ridiculous, I think. I guess we'll just have to go find another brand that doesn't have overheating issues and is actually designed to be mounted on a wall.

Will not buy a TCL next time

Contacted TCL support and they said that they will order parts and send someone out to fix it. They also said that hopefully those parts will be the right ones to fix the problem. It will take around two weeks to order the parts. TV hasn’t worked in a week, and so, I am out a TV for at least 3 weeks. Will buy my next TV from a different manufacturer next time. It is sad, because up to now it was a nice TV.

Didn’t last a year

Warranty doesn’t help at all. TCL wants to send a technician to see if it can get fixed. The whole process is going to take weeks. Who waits for weeks when you have only one TV?! I already bought a new one. Why don’t they give me the option to get at least a refurbished TV as stated in their warranty policy? I will never buy this brand again.

Terrible return policy

So you better look for a different place to buy your next products Target at least gives you 30 days .

Extremely Annoyed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess I wasn’t expecting much from a $250 TV but I was at least expecting it to arrive in new condition. What I got was a damaged TV when it was received yesterday. The right side of the bevel is completely dented so there is a gap between the screen and the bevel. As a parent of two toddlers I have zero time. I don’t have time to mess around with returning this TV and getting a new one which I’m now forced to do. Unbelievable!!!!
