2 1/2 year of ownership and it goes out

At the time of purchase i had the Total Tech, the greatest thing Best Buy could have ever done. What they didn’t tell me is that after two year it’s worthless. So I call Best Buy and that i could purchase a new one and that the Labor Day sale is going. Nope, want be buying from them anymore, matter of fact, I’m going to call that sorry plan the now offer and take my tale somewhere else to buy my electronics from this point on. Hello amazon.!!!

Died after 14 months, TCL said sorry we can't help

I have purchased Insignia TVs in the past with the Roku platform and really enjoyed it so when it was time to buy a TV for the office, I went with this TV for the platform. Initially I was super impressed with the picture quality and features of the TV for the price. The Roku menu got glitchy every once in a while, but it was nothing a quick reset couldn't fix, which is a small price to pay for a decent value TV. Yesterday morning I went to go flip on my YouTube app and the TV crashed, shut off and became unresponsive. It was not getting power to the unit at all. I tried all the troubleshooting steps to try and get the TV to come back on with no luck. I reached out to TCL and went through the same trouble shooting and some additional steps they recommended again with no luck. At the end of the call, my service tech informs me that the TV is out of warranty (which I knew) and there was nothing they could do. They recommended to TV repair company in order to resolve the issue. Though I know my TV was out of warranty, I found it surprising that TCL did not offer any sort of prorated warranty or pro rated replacement for the TV. A TV that runs for 4 months after its warranty period expires and then crashed is a little disappointing. The customer service I received from TCL was fine. The tech or CSR was polite, courteous, and patient. I do however call into question the quality of goods produced and the integrity of a company that is ok with selling products that would die so early in their service life. When I go replace my TV today, I will definitely not be buying a TCL and will not definitely never recommend TCL to anyone that is considering buying one.

Our TVs do come with a 1-year parts and labor manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. Best Deal Around

The price was the best I found. The shipping was rapid and efficient, delivery painless. This was my first purchase from Best Buy (at my son's suggestion), but it won't be my last.

Great TV

Beautiful picture and sound, like no other TV we've owned before. We are cutting the cable soon and wanted a smart TV with apps like this so that we didn't have to remember which streaming services we have and whatnot. You can customize the user interface, which is super cool. This is our first time owning a Smart TV so this is all brand new to my husband and I. We are impressed with and love this TV. We just love it!

Great open box Roku tv!

This is a very basic TV

Noticeable difference in color quality compared to other 4k TV's. Very low color quality. I got this to replace my vizio in my bedroom and I will be returning it ASAP and spend the extra cash to get a better TV. Once again this is a very basic, low quality tv only suitable to for kids and people who dont know better.

You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, expert picture settings, and more. Hope this helps & happy viewing!

Poor Quality - Only worked correctly for a while
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My rating is really 0 (A BIG ZER0). Don't buy it, you are wasting your money and your time. Worked OK for streaming, then attached my cable box and everything was ok for about a week, then it all started downhill. Each time I turn the TV on it does not have any sound. I have to do an electrical power reset to get the sound back. This was TCL's first solution and it worked until you turn off the TV. I had two previous sessions with TCL support about other problems (one of which has come back again), and their answer is always do resets. Today I spent over 2 hours with TCL support. Ugh. I reset everything per their instructions, and still have to do an electrical power reset to get sound. They would have me makes changes and do resets, then had me turn the TV OFF and ON again, and every time I had to do a power reset to get the sound to work (FYI, the power reset is: unplug the TV, hold the power button down for at least 15 seconds [FYI, the power button is inside the white glowing ring on the lower right corner when you turn on the power], then plug the TV in again, and turn it on). They had me disconnect my soundbar and cable box, but that didn't help. The TCL technician consulted with other Techs at least 3 times, and they did everything they thought would fix it, but no luck. I've had enough of this nonsense. IN ADDITION, there TV Manual documentation is terrible. I would NEVER recommend this TV to anyone!!!

DO NOT BUY!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do Not Buy!!! This tv has been crap since I got it. It’s slow. Takes forever to load. I’ll turn it on and the screen will just be black. For being a “smart tv” it’s not very smart. I bought this tv mid January 2021 and it’s April 2021 and I now have to throw this tv in the trash. It got an internal crack and the side and bottom had color streaks but you could still watch tv, it was just more difficult. Today I turned it on and the whole screen was color streaks. Cants watch tv on it at all. There was no damage done. It was fine when I went to work and broken when I got home. My house was empty. I emailed customer support and of course this kind of damage along with a huge list of other very common things aren’t covered in the manufacture warranty. So I guess if you’re going to buy this crap tv make sure to get a warranty through wherever you buy it. But I strongly recommend going with literally any other brand. Spend the money. TCL was on the cheaper side and I now know why. Don’t waste the money because you’ll just have to replace it in a few months.

Don't bother with this one.

Then it became stuck in recovery mode and nothing I did or had help from the factory helped. I later learned that this was not a one time thing with this tv there were many comments and complaints from customers with the exact problem. Manufacture customer service is horrible. This television has been sitting in my closet for 4 months non functional paperweight . I was told by the TCL customer service supervisor that if I could not "jump through the hoops" they required that I might as well leave them alone because they were not willing to provide a work around to the issue.

Stay Away

My Xfinity Wifi won’t hook up to it so basically the Tv is useless to me. I was told when I called Xfinity it’s because apparently this is an older model and my wifi box won’t sync with it. Very disappointed they would sell a Tv that’s outdated. Now I have no TV. Not too happy about this. Now I’m stuck in a contract paying for cable and wifi that I can’t use.

Absolutely DO NOT BUY

It worked fine for a few months, but now it seems to need an update every time we try to watch something. It is unusable for hours at a time. Will not turn on. Resetting it does nothing, unplugging has no effect (the "update" process just seems to start over). I have probably lost years off my life due to the stress and frustration of this thing. Do yourself a favor a buy a Sceptre panel. It's probably what you're looking for: just a thing to plug into a computer, apple tv or similar. Much better investment. This was just money flushed down the drain.

Not worth the price
