Worth the money

We use chromecasts to stream directly to the TV from our phones but the wife wanted a new TV so she could look at Lifetime Movie Network online for free since we cut the cord and YouTube TV didn’t offer it. We got the TV on sale for $269 because it was in the wrong place.

Better-than-expected

If you care so much about that stuff go for a Samsung or Sony. I have a Sony 3 exactly. Got this just as a thing for my little sister and actually a very much impressed me.

Decent tv

It has been the perfect TV. I watch mainly Netflix, Viki, Youtube and VLive. I love using chromecast to watch what is on my phone on the TV.

A TV to discourage TV viewing

I was not expecting a lot from this TV given the price. But I was at least expecting a better experience than what you could have had 20 years ago. I have a few of the TCL Roku TVs in my garages and I know the picture is fine, nothing to write home about, but it's a garage TV. When Best Buy was out of the Roku version I bought this Android version to replace a rarely used bedroom TV. I have two Sony Bravia OLEDs with Android and was expecting a similar experience from the OS. I can't get over how bad this TV is compared to those. It takes about 60 seconds to power on, even with the optimized boot settings. Navigating to YouTube TV is a painful experience and I can feel myself aging while waiting for the guide to show up. You want to navigate through the guide? Better be patient. If you want to move from watching something in one room then go pick it up on this TV it's impossible to do during a commercial break because of how slow it is. I also didn't mention the reboots once you finally navigate to a show. The positives, it fit in the piece of furniture I was putting it in. It also discourages TV watching because the experience is so painful.
