It is on okay tv with a couple of things that bothered me. I do regret buying it. I was considering an exchange when I read how short Best Buy's return window is. I'll have to take that into consideration should I decide to make such a purchase again. The color is bad. I tried tweaking things myself then looked to some online guides it still looks washed out. Could just be my tv. I used Chromecast with the previous tv as well so i was familiar with the UI. It is extremely laggy. I have to push buttons repeatedly and/or just wait for it to let me select what I want. If it happened occasionally, okay, but it's almost every time I choose to watch something which makes it irritating.

Broke after a year

Save time for SW updates.

I set this up while my wife was out, and with all of the updates required I was glad I did. The Resolution increase was a big jarring from our 15 year old TV. We really like it.

Today 7/11/22 it turns on to permanent black screen. I have tried all the fixes from the TCL website. But at any rate its pretty bad that the TV has failed this soon. I had a cheapy RCA that lasted for 7 years +. There is other TV's in this range, I recommend trying a different brand.

Should be illegal to sell this TV

I got this cause I liked using my Chromecast and since I need a TV figured this would just stream line the process. Nope, spend most of the time waiting for the TV to catch up to my button inputs. Then will sometimes just kick me out of a menu or ask to log back in. In the end I have gone back to using my external Chromecast (bypassing any "smart" functionality of this TV). At least I'm happy with the picture and sounds.

Worth it!

Constantly restarts on its own

Now the tv constantly kicks me out of apps, restarts on its own or just freezes and i have to unplug it from the wall to restart it. This happens every coup.e minutes from opening an app up to getting an hour of viewing. I have uninstalled all the apps, cleared the cache, power cycled it , updated the software, and did a factory reset and still have the same issues.

TCL is garbage

Will never buy another TCL again. Absolute trash. I tried to give them a shot. Never again. I have and had multiple Samsung TVs over the years that have not only lasted 5 years or better with me with zero issues, they've been passed on to adult children and still going strong 8 years and better.
