Very nice inexpensive TV

This is the best sub $300 (and can be gotten for sub $250) TV you can get. The picture is excellent at this price point. The Google TV platform is wonky, though that should be resolved soon. If you want this as a bedroom/office TV and plan to plug in a 30 buck Roku, go for it.

Google TV Nice Features

Google TV is a nice built-in feature that's as convenient (if not moreso) than a Google Chromecast. Only knocked a star off because the built-in sound quality isn't great. Dialogue is really quiet and music is really loud. I thought at first that it may just be the shows I was watching, but it's fairly consistent across apps/shows.

Was looking for something bigger for the kids' room and we chose this because it was a tad larger than what we first thought of getting and its 4k instead of HD. Another plus is that its a google TV so I can control the volume and screen share to it.

To be used as a computer monitor

The online reviews recommend this TCL model as a good option. So far it works great. The bright and contrast is good. There are 3 HDMI ports such that I can connect my desktop and laptop and there still a free one that I can use for entertainment. I am satisfied with this purchase.
