Only had the TV for a few days so far. Good picture, easy to set up and connect everything. Super light weight compared to my last tv. Love the built-in Roku. Recommend if you are looking for a budget friendly tv.

The best part of this TV is definitely the roku, so easy to use and so intuitive. All your apps are very easy to get to and load very quickly. The interface is also very fast and very responsive. The picture quality is also good! This is my first 4K tv. I wasn’t blown out of the water, but a difference could definitely be seen. For video games the latency is very noticeable, but if you’re not a serious gamer it’s not too noticeable. FANTASTIC value for what you’re getting here. Great product would buy again.

I've had this TV nearly a year. and overall am very pleased. Picture quality is good. Colors are OK, not spectacular, but fine for an inexpensive TV. The Roku part works great. My only complaint is that the power button on the remote has stopped working, so I have to use the Roku app installed on my phone to turn the TV on or off. One nice feature I only recently discovered is that this TV can be used with my laptop as a wireless display, thus channeling not just the picture but the sound through the TV. Overall, I would but it again.

I kept starting to buy this TCL 43” Smart TV, but always hesitated wondering how good a $229 TV could be.... after all, I was even considering it because Ellen gives away TCL TV’s on every show. Well... I bought it and am SO glad I did. It was a breeze to set up. I did have to play around with the picture setting for a couple of days. The backlight setting isn’t the best, but I found that testing different brightness, sharpness etc settings was all it took. I’d watch it on a specific combination of settings each day, tweak it a bit, watch it again the next day, tweak it... and finally got a great picture! Well worth it. And, the sound is one of the fullest and best I’ve heard. I recommend TCL 1000%!

Good value. Not the greatest picture, but ok. Blacks need to be darker. Good tv for those 1st time smart tv owners that might be a little apprehensive, roku is always easy to use once installed and set up. Definitely not home theater quality, but good for every day use. I had previously purchased the 65" for kids' video game use and still works great. I bought this for my parents' house and they've enjoyed using it, I just had to help them set it up. Only wish it had a microphone remote to help them search. I should note that the tv actually arrived broken, but I put that on UPS since the box did appear damaged. Had to take back to store, once there I upgraded to the 50".

I'm a filmmaker and a college student so I was looking for a TV to take to my dorm but also a 4K screen to edit footage on. Instead of spending money on a 4k computer monitor that would've been smaller (and more expensive), I opted to get a 4K and cross off 2 boxes. I love this TV! 4K really is a major difference from 1080 when you look at it up close. And 43" is actually a lot bigger than I thought. I was originally planning to get a 50 or 65 inch TV but now I realize that would've been WAY too big. This TV is the perfect size! It's smart, easy to setup, and just really nice to look at. I read some reviews saying the audio isn't great and I honestly don't completely feel that way. 97% of the time my audio is fine and just as loud or clear as any other TV or device I use, but the small percentage of times the bass gets really loud (like when a song comes blaring out of nowhere), it gets kind of fuzzy. The reviews I read recommended getting a soundbar, fortunately I already had one and it helped with that 3% of the time I needed it. And the other 97% the soundbar and Roku TV combo is a really great and and enjoyable experience. But I don't think you need one, I think you will be fine and love the TV even if you don't have one. If you're worried about quality for such a low price, rest assured that this TV is as good as any other one you'll get. The 4K is extremely crisp, the color is vibrant, blacks are deep, the TV is a smart one and easy to use, simple menu and remote, all in all a great TV. I can't recommend this TV enough!

TCL seems to have improved in quality over the years without increasing in price. I have a TCL I bought about 5 years ago and it is not a very nice TV. This TV is light years ahead of that one in build and picture quality. Love the included Roku. Only knock I can give is that viewing angles aren't great. Sit straight on and you're good. Makes a great addition to my game room. Kind of amazing that you can get this nice of a TV for the price.

This one was bought for my sister in law, but I have one exactly like it, too. Roku is the way to go for an extra TV in a home with cable already since Spectrum has an app for Roku. With her subscription, the Roku apps is the only way she could get a couple of other channels that she won't have to pay for another box from the cable service. The price is pretty awesome too. Only serious drawback... it is made in China. The remote is a little small and odd, but easy enough to get used to.

With the beer flu causing the wife and I to work at home, she needed a monitor a 2nd monitor so I let her have mine (happy wife happy life). I wanted to get something cheap but big to use as a monitor so I went for the TCL. I wasn't super familiar with the brand, but I wasn't needing it to do a lot. I was blown away by how clear the picture was, how easy the setup was, and all the smart TV capabilities this has for such a low price. Definitely going to consider a TCL whenever I look to upgrade my actual TV.

Purchased this TV for our bedroom, it is a great size and love the added Roku! The only negative (this won’t be a negative for some, but definitely for us and I didn’t see it in another review), when you turn off the TV there is a light strip on the bottom, maybe about two to three inches long, that brightly illuminates. Not the best when you like sleeping in a completely dark room. Other than that this TV has been great without any other issues!

I have always bought Samsung in the past but wanted to cut the cord and go with Roku. Did research and decided on TCL for my next TV. Easy to install, great price and picture. Love that I can also get my local channels plus other other apps for free TV. Only app I pay for is Philo and love the ability to record programs and watch later. I will be buying another TCL for the bedroom in the near future.

I really love the ease of TCL television's set-up. Great picture, it's close to me so sound is not nor has ever been an issue. Sounds great to me, picture is amazing...pixels clear, remote annoying, use application on phone or iPad etc device instead...much easier...less battery waste too. I am a huge TCL fan, did my research on value vs quality, and these were some of the best. Agree wholeheartedly.

I had never heard of TCL, but some quick research showed this relative newcomer to the North American market is making a quality product. I wanted a 4K UHD Television, and the price was great at the time of purchase. $230 for a 43" Roku 4K UHD TV. I am so very impressed with the ease of setup, the menus and the picture quality. I would definitely recommend this television and this brand.

My family uses a 70 inch version of this as our living room TV, so I had no reservations getting it for use in my workshop as a computer monitor - I do a lot of work with IoT using Shelly smart home products and need a great screen for mmy Node Red flows. When I'm not on my workstation, I can enjoy any of my Roku apps or my XB1. Great picture, low cost, excellent solution.

I'm so so glad I was able to get this TV, for the size of the screen this tv is at a great price! Love that you can download the Roku app and control it on your phone too. Picture quality is stunning, it's the perfect size for my room (not overly big but still big enough to get "wows" from my roommates), and playing games on the screen is amazing as well.

Decided to get a tv for the bedroom during this pandemic and this fit the bill. Great resolution and sound plus the built in Roku with the roku remote is excellent. It sometimes takes a few minutes after powering on to connect to the WiFi and it has a white light that stays on when it is off which is not perfect for a bedroom tv but it is not to bad.

I LOVE THIS TV! I decided to buy a TV due to quarantine and I have never owned my own TV before. It was very easy to set up and personalize regarding apps and settings. The settings are quite vast to personalize to your liking. I especially love the ability of the apps. I am an apple user, ie macbook, ipad, iphone and i thought I was going to have to buy an apple TV to play my itunes content however, this TV has an apple TV app! awesome! I can access my purchased movies and shows through the app without connecting my computer or anything. All in the set up of the TV took me maybe 1.5 hours. It has been a great TV. The sound and picture is really nice on it's own and I'm sure the sound would be even better with a sound bar. I cant say enough good things about it. Oh also the Roku TV app is very cool and you can link your headphones to your phone (bluetooth or wired) and hear the sound of what you're watching through the headphones instead of the TV if you want. I found that very useful. I will hook up my airpods to my iphone and hear my TV content through the app! Love love love this TV!

So easy to set up right out of the box. Vivid screen colors are beautiful compared to other brands we looked at and we like that it has Roku built right in. With so many choices at Best Buy this was the best quality, best price and just what we needed. Perfect size for family room, bedroom or office. Happy watching!

Bought this for my son for his new apartment. TCL makes great TVs at a value price. I bought a 50inch for our family room TV. The picture quality is great and I love the built-in Roku. It is fast and responsive and is great for streaming. My son has been very pleased and I would definitely buy this again. My needs are pretty simple, and while I generally buy higher-end options (big believer in you get what you pay for), when it comes to TVs, I just want to turn it on and watch my programs. I simply don't see the need to spend $1000 for a TV when I am just watching basic TV and Netflix. TCL makes options that work great for me and are hundreds less than other options. I will continue to consider TCL first in the future.
