This is a great TV. The set up was easy, the picture is great, and the Roku platform makes it simple to call up the device or app that you want. The remote is also very easy to use. Overall, I'd say that you get a terrific TV at a very reasonable price.

It is a great TV, clear, nice color easy to use menu. but it has an issue that popped up soon after i received it. I use over the air broadcasting, the chanels received will change daily, even in the same day. I will scan for channels then check off the channels i do not want, at times while i am checking off the channels the screen will freeze, no matter how i do this it will freeze. Even when i try to turn off the TV the off option will freeze, i then will have to wait awhile for the TV to turn itself off. It then will restart a couple of times then do the channel hide again. The other issue is when i am in the edit channel lineup option and as i am scrolling to keep or hide channels the picture or channel itself will not show, i will get a series of horizontal lines from thick to a thin line, this also happened while i was changing channels in normal viewing mode, not while i was editing channel line up.
My concern is this will get worse as time goes by.
I searched for a contact to talk about this but review was the only area where i was able to leave a message

Very good TV for an off brand. Beautiful picture. Built in Roku works great too! The ROKU only remote is a bit inconvenience. Have to scroll for everything. Can't just directly press the channel number you want. Other than that it's have given me good service.

So many great features on this TV, especially if you’re trying to cut the cable cord.
1) Built in Roku for all your streaming.
2) Pause LIVE TV through your own over the air antenna ( jump drive required). You can’t record but you can rewind a significant time period.
3) Ethernet input to connect direct to router, to eliminate Wifi issues if you have them.
4) Great picture AND sound, no need for a sound bar in my opinion.
The only possible issue is the limited non-HDMI inputs. Other than 3 HDMI inputs is a single A/V input which will require a special plug to make RCA cable connection.
I have two TCL”s (50” also). Great prices for great TV”s.

We love the picture and easy to access Roku features of this TCL TV. Is perfect for a smaller room like a bedroom or basement. The one click access to Netflix, Hulu and others is a real time saver.

Great Entry Level 4k Tv!

So I have been using this tv for a week now and I have some points to cover. This list will go from the things I like to dislike about this tv.
1. The picture is a great 4k image.
2. The way it looks in a medium to small room.
3. The remote and roku are very responsive
with no lag at all.
4. Game mode, the game mode on this tv is great! Like, almost no input lag on any games. This is a good tv to pair up with an xbox one x.
5. The image from a pc monitor standpoint is great for those with higher end PC's. Mine only displays at 30 Hz but that's just my PC not being able to push that much power, it will do 60 Hz at 1080p but 30 Hz at 4k.
6. This tv is a great size (43") for a small to medium sized room.
7. Can be easily mounted to a stand or wall mount.
8. The way it was packaged. I did not like at all the way it was packaged. It had literal packing tape on the SCREEN! I felt like I was going to crack the LCD panel by pulling it off. If you get this tv, just pull it very slowly and take your time.
9. The screen is not that bright. So the screen quality as far as picture goes is great, but, make sure your room doesnt have a lot of lights on or sun coming in when watching it, the picture will seem dim.
10. They had to cut corners somewhere...
The overall build material is cheap. Plastic all over, but who really cares right? It's a tv. You watch it, not play with it.
11. The speakers.... Yea... Don't even try. I would HIGHLY SUGGEST getting a sound bar. A great affordable one is the vizio soundbar with subwoofer. It's cheap and sounds outstanding!
I think it's the 39" model soundbar?? I could be wrong but yea these speakers are not great on this tv.
So I got this for $229.99 and $248 after taxes.
I can't complain too much about the price and the tv you get for it.
Here's my verdict. This tv is great for the price and I would reccomend it to anyone looking to going to 4k from a 1080p display.
Here are the pros and cons stated above:
Pros:
•Great 4k image
•Great color accuracy
•Perfect responsiveness
•Very low to none input lag on games
•Great size for small/medium rooms
•Great pc monitor (if your pc can support 4k 60Hz
•Can be easily mounted
Cons:
•Packaging
•Screen brightness
•Build Material is cheap
•Speakers
So my rating will be a 5 star. Despite the cons, it's a great tv for the price. It does what it's meant to do and does it very well.

THE BEST Smart Tv with Streaming capabilities!!!

If you are looking to cut cable and go the streaming route, this is the TV for you!
Usability: Menu's are very easy to navigate, with a home screen for all of your viewing mediums. Don't see something you want? Search for it and install it, takes less than you think. On the remote you receive, the only buttons you really use are OK, the navigation arrows, and (*) for settings. There are quick access buttons at the bottom for Disney+ and Hulu, but those barely get used.
Picture: Phenomenal picture for the price, absolutely outstanding. I can see every grain of sand on a beach from an aerial view, no joke. Every crease on a mans face. The picture always looks as clear as the image the human eye see's.
Sound: Start this bad boy on low, as low as possible. We bought this for our father, for Christmas (early present, much needed) and he set it to 35 day one. Good lord the police in the center of town didn't need a call, they could hear it themselves. The sound is crystal clear, every program sounds like people are talking, shooting, singing in your living room. High or low, sound doesn't change. That's why I recommend keeping it low; you will be able to hear everything, crystal clear, and not blow your neighbors away.
Price: About the standard price for a modern HQ Tv; you won't find it for $60, but this TV isn't $400 either. Very affordable, cheaper than a new PC.
Warning: The only warning I have for this TV and it really isn't a major one; it is like a Laptop, it has a cable to plug into the wall to charge it. You can leave the TV unplugged for a time and it will work, it doesn't need a hard connection like other TVs. That being said; after a while the TV will go into Power Saving mode like a laptop, and the picture will get SCARY. I mean like, negative picture, inverse colours, everyone looks like a demon. Just plug the TV in and give it a few. I promise the TV isn't broken!
So yeah, overall: 10/10 amazing tv, my father went from analog TV to this and has no problems!

Bought this based on reviews (not just Best Buy shoppers - also trade magazines, CNET, etc.). Easy set up, great picture, simple operation. It's not the sleekest or most feature-packed TV, but if you want really good value this can't be beat.

I wasn’t to sure about TCL but I’m glad I did purchase this one. Bought this television for our bedroom and it came packed with many features. Built in Roku with many channel selections and free features. 3 HDMI ports including 1 arc ready for sound bar. Privacy mode so you can listen with headphones, You can connect to the internet wirelessly via wifi or directly through a integral Ethernet(RJ-45) port. A vga connector is included. The sound is descent and has several modes to adjust the experience. The image quality is good but don’t expect a top of the line 4K experience you might get from higher end units. Overall though very pleased with this pick and if your considering hanging it on the wall it’s very light in weight and relatively thin so it looks good hung or on the wall or on a stand.

I’ve had so many TVs stop working in all different brands. So I decided to go with the cheapest ROKU smart TV with the best price. That would be the TCL. I bought 2. The price was excellent. I set both TVs up and was impressed with the picture! Well worth the money. I’m not sold on the popular name brands due to prior experience. I would definitely buy TCL again! The only problem I had was that I needed 2. Couldn’t find 2 at any BestBuy near me. I had to purchase 1 online at two different stores and pick them up at 2 different locations. I love BestBuy but I wish they kept their stock at a higher number!

This was my first TCL TV purchase and it's been a solid TV.
Pro's
-Picture quality from apps (Netflix, Disney+, others) is great in 1080P and 4k
-Sound quality from the internal speaker is better than i expected
-It finally supports HBOMax
- Easy to configure cable and Blu-Ray player to work with it
Con's
- I wish the viewing angle of the TV was a bit wider. You don't have to been be too far to the side of it and it loses a fair amount of it's Picture Quality.
- The Roku interface takes a loooong time to connect to my wireless router (it's less than 20 feet away). There's been many times where it's been faster to go in and set up the connection from scratch then wait for it to do it automatically.

We're really happy with this tv, our first smart tv ever. I was not expecting a lot in terms of the number of programming offerings, but am very pleased. This tv is in our basement rec room for only occasional viewing, and being subscribers to Spectrum we didn't want to shell out another $8/mo. for a cable box. I didn't realize we could view the regular line-up on Spectrum using this tv. Setup was really easy and I didn't hit any snags. The picture is excellent. I think the price was phenomenal for what we got. Very glad that I took an unfamiliar leap and purchased this tv.
