I had the 49' Toshiba TV with Chromecast that is better because you get to mirror your cellphone to the TV for example if u want to watch movies thats not on netflix or hulu. I was told this tv has the same compatibility and it doesn't. a lil disappointed but i'm still learning how to work the tv.

Doesn't show like a 4k TV. The sound is also very low. Returned it a week later.

Insane TV for the price

Image and Audio are both 5/5, picked this up for $326, cheaper than itt was on Black Friday, this week. Id seen it in person and have been eyeing it for a while, once it went on sale i dropped the cash for it. Easily the best 4K smart TV for the price, not to mention their P05 TV outclasses Samsungs and virtually every other model (in picture and price).

Maybe it was the luck of the draw but I brought this TV home, hooked it all up and nothing worked. Tried multiple outlets, even found compatible power cords from other devices to try that out and nothing. Customer Service was no help. I took it back to the store and did what I should've done in the first place, get a brand I had heard of and had no issues with in the past. I will pay the extra money for higher quality from now on.

as with nearly all TVs, the hardware comes to install the feet onto the TV for table. If you wish to install the TV on the wall, all necessary hardware would come with them out that you purchased, not the TV.

Wireless function failed after 15 months!

I liked this TV very much until suddenly it can't "find" my network...
Looks like the wireless card has failed. It was hit and miss for 2-3 times but now it won't connect at all. And, no, it's not a network problem on my end as evidenced by the fact that everything else in the house still works fine. I tried rebooting my modem, router, access points but to no avail. Looks like a get to buy another TV since I'm not hopeful that Best Buy or TCL will warranty it 15 months after purchase in spite of the face that any TV should reasonably last well beyond 15 months!!! Good grief...

Roku TV is nice, mounting holes are weird

This is my second TV on the "Roku TV" platform, first being a TCL branded one. So far this TV has worked very well in our living room. The sound and picture quality is perfectly adequate; we have no problems hearing the dialog with the bottom firing speakers being wall mounted about 3 feet off the ground. I'm not a professional TV installer but have had a lot of experience with home theater type stuff over the years. I figured the installation of this TV would be a snap since I was just using an existing wall mount that had previously held a 37 inch Toshiba and 42 inch Sharp. However, after hanging the TV I noticed that I could see the wall box/wiring underneath the TV. Previous TVs had always covered this up when mounted at the exact same height. What I noticed was that the TCL had its mounting holes almost at the complete bottom of the rear of the TV. This meant that the TV would mount higher than almost every other TV in the world that has its holes in the center of the rear. So, I ended up having to remove my mounting bracket from the wall, and lower it, so that the TCL TV would cover the wall box behind the TV.
So, at the end of the day, the TV works fine and I'm happy with it. However, knowing what I know now, I probably would have opted for a different TV that had mounting holes in the center of the TV so that I could have saved time during install and not had to make new holes in my wall.

Best money spent on a TV in years

1. The complaints on the remote are ridiculous. It is a remote turn on tv all your programs you chose along with you HDMI, cables etc... are there on the home page. I did get the remote for my phone and then deleted it as I do not need it. Just hit the home button and bam all my programs I want, Netflix, Amazon, HBO now and bing are all on the remote itself.
2. The picture is amazing, 120 refresh will make you drool. Add the 4k to it and it is even better than being there in person. Natgeo is amazing (and you don't have to leave the ac.)
3. Set up took less than 5 minutes and is on my fastest WiFi connection so streaming is fast.
4. You will see black and dark colors not always looking the best this is not the Tv but is the quality of the original shooting and how it is being compressed to fit onto your screen by editing, so you may see some box pixels out of place. (This is NOT the tv)
5. Finally, My kids and I love this TV, once more 4k content comes out you will be thanking yourself for this little treat.
My only complaint is the base the legs are not that great, and I will be wall mounting as soon as I have the time.
So instead of spending over 500 bucks for a cheap name brand give this one a try. I have had it a couple of months now and it made it through Irma, so five stars and a hurricane.

***Has issues with set going on and off, with sound breaking up etc. have to reset multiple times.***
*I Physically brought the set into Best Buy on Dec, 23rd 2019
Deptford, NJ where I had purchased the item along with a protection plan from Best Buy. I was told by an Management to return home with the set, and to contact TCL that I would have to have the manufacture handle the problem. They completely disregarded the issue. I was left with a faulty product. That works sporadically.

stunning

The picture is a solid 4k. Any 4k video is stunning, in my opinion, and the picture on this TV is very nice. Getting the TV set up is easy, it takes a few minutes to assemble the TV, which is basically just attaching the legs. The TV powered on easily and went into a setup wizard. Setting up the TV was also easy (wireless connection and roku setup).
My intended main use of the TV is a second monitor for my Lenovo WIndows 10 laptop. The laptop detected the TV on wireless immediately and so I connected to try that out, and that worked well. I had no idea that was even available. It appears to be some kind of screen mirroring through roku. Impressive that it was so easy to set up, windows detected the tv on wireless and I suppose it used WIDI or Miracast or something. Anyway, what I really wanted was to connect via HDMI cables. Initially the cables were not plugged in firmly enough, but once I figured that out, the laptop detected the TV, and in no time I had the dual screen working. I was able to have the windows 10 laptop at its own max resolution and the tcl s405 showing a dual desktop at the larger resolution of 4k. So at that point I had stunning 4k youtube videos playing on the TV. The videos are stunning on this TV. To get this TV at this price is also stunning. Could not be happier with this purchase so far.
