Never heard of this brand until I was researching to replace my older, smaller tv. I absolutely love this Roku-fueled (!) tv. The size is perfect for my living room, the picture is crystal clear and, so far (had it only about a month), it's working beautifully. I'd recommend it. And - it was at least $200 less than a Samsung, Vizio, Sony, etc., of the same size.

Excellent Roku TV. I had never heard of TCL. I am an avid Samsung guy. Have a couple of Samsung 4K TV's, and others. I have hanging in my outdoor kitchen. Did not want to spend what I normally spend on my indoor TV's. You cannot beat this for the price. I would gladly have this one indoors as well. Easy to navigate and set up. Best out there for the price.

This was our first smart TV and after researching different ones I decided on the TCL - 49" Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV Roku TV. It was very easy to set up and get going. I have been very happy with it and a really nice picture. We finally cut the cable company off and stream now. I think the only thing that could use a little improvement would be the sound.

I was originally going to settle for a TV from a well known brand without the specs I was looking for. Then I happened to pass by this one and it had everything I was looking for: 120 he refresh rate, HDR, 4K resolution, smart capability, etc. and it was a fraction of what a Sony or Samsung with even similar specs would’ve cost. Awesome product so far.

I am careful about the quality as well as price of my electronics and this was by far the best priced 4K, 49", 120hz television I have seen. The picture quality is great and it was very easy to connect to my WiFi and other systems and it is much lighter than my 8 year old set was.

We go to very few movies at a theater and have never owned a TV. We don't watch network news or series. We do stream from youtube and occasionally watch DVD movies. However, as we have parties and gatherings and a demand for the ability to show presentations or movies became important, we wanted something relatively inexpensive (based on minimal use), easy to use, easy to set up, but still good quality. We are very happy with this product. In addition Best Buy sent instructions on how to appropriately unpack and move the item. The areas vulnerable to damage were clearly identified and proper support for them was explained. We have only had this for about a month, but so far it is working according to specifications with more apps and options available for use than expected.

Hands down, this is the best "budget" 4k HDR tv on the market. It has all the capabilities of it's competitors at a much lower price. Having Roku integrated is such a nice convenience. A nice home screen hub, so many apps available, but my favorite feature is the screen mirroring! I thought I was going to lose out on that when not going with a Samsung tv, but my Note 8 is still compatible with it using its "Smart View" feature. The ONLY thing that bothers me is how small the remote is. I have never lost a remote so many times in my life. It is very easy for the little thing to get lost in my bed sheets or just fall into small cracks. That still is not enough to knock this tv down a star, everything else is fantastic. Unbeatable value!

After seeing and reading other positive reviews I decided to replace my aging 8 year old HDTV with this TCL. I heard that the built-in sound on these is not great but (2 points) I had and recommend a sound bar or external speakers, AND I finally got to use optical audio. The picture quality coming from what I had can’t be beat. Even HD content looks better in most cases. Some darker 4K HDR content from Netflix (Daredevil season 1 for instance) has trouble with pixelation with blacks and the TV certainly isn’t going to beat your $700+ panels, but video games, newer 4K HDR shows, etc look incredible, especially at this price point. So if you’re in a similar situation and are battling with upgrading an aging TV, this model is great bang for your buck.

This is not the best 49" TV you can buy, but certainly the lowest price. This is a great value for features, 4k picture quality and Roku.

It was easy to setup, great picture and simple use

Excellent entry level TV, especially for gaming. Bought this for my son (along with a PS4) and I have been really impressed with the picture quality for the money. Movies look decent, but suffer due to poor black levels and only average peak brightness. Where this TV shines though is when playing games and its smart TV software. Games look crisp and detailed (especially in 4K), with HDR bringing out great color and highlights. Horizon, Spider-Man and NBA2K and Live all look incredible! Input lag is also nonexistent and won't infringe on your enjoyment by causing control input issues. Viewing angles and the speakers could be better, but for the price I can't complain. The Roku software is also impressive. Fast and responsive, with just about every app you could wish for available. Overall, a great value!

Affordable price w/great features and easy set-up!

I moved and was looking for a new television for my living room. I had heard A lot of good things about Roku, but did not realize that you could buy a television that was a Roku TV. I saw this, it was on sale for a very good price, and I bought it. I absolutely love it! There are so many stations that are available to me that I didn’t even sign up for cable in my new home. I did purchase the Best Buy service plan because I was not familiar with the brand of the television. Setting it up was easy. The on-screen instructions were easy to follow. I have had it for 2 1/2 months now, and so far so good! The picture is beautiful. And it was not really a huge investment.

Needed a low cost TV for an event but was intrigued by all the features and size of this TV. It was at the budget amount I wanted to spend but I got a march larger and better TV for the same amount of money. The picture quality is amazing, the sound is good, and the integrated ROKU capability is the best. The TV is super easy to use as you see the different options (ROKU channels, DVD, XBOX One, etc.) when you click the home icon on the remote. No need to scroll through "inputs" like other TV's. Has made life much easier. The picture quality so so great I'm going to replace my primary TV with this one as it's so awesome. It's also really light weight which I thought was a nice bonus.

I have purchased several of this 4k TV model.. You get great quality for an awesome price.. 120hz works great with the Xbox 360, Ps4 and PC with 4k video card compatible.. Also extremely easy for the kids to use because its Ruko integrated apps for Netflix and other apps.. Disney Now.. Cartoon Network.. YouTube and More.. Love it. Also protects your kids from seeing content previews of stuff in Main TV menu like AMAZON TV (NO WAY) This is best TV for the kids room! I own 65" 4k Vizio & 75" SONY4k and 65" LG 4k. so I Highly recommend this TCL 4k For the Guest Rooms and Kids rooms(Safe Content) .. Also the 55" 4k TCL looks great in the living room. Only downside Roku needs to Add YouTube for kids!

Really good smart TV! Works great, and I love Roku. Clear picture, great sound

I was hesitant to buy an off brand tv, but I’m cheap, so I decided to give this one a whirl. When I walked in to Best Buy, it was difficult to walk past the several thousand dollar TVs, but I’m so glad I didn’t get sucked in to the upsells. The picture on this tv is fantastic! The sound is really good. The most surprising thing is how much I like the remote and the Roku interface. I was very nervous about this, but it works out great! I wish the remote let you go to a Channel by typing the button, but instead, you have to just go channel up/down until you get to the channel. Everything else is Very user friendly! So glad I got this tv.
