Great TV for the price, in concept at least. It really does LOOK great with brightness/color/contrast/etc. especially in dim-lighting. Way better than I even thought possible at this price. The color saturation and range, picture clarity, and blacks/whites are all great. Also, at least in my case, I had more than passable luck with the "Panel Lottery" as far as screen bruising, banding or "dirty screen" goes. Not even "for the price" either, I'd be happy with these qualities for an even higher price. No, the real issue is when things are in motion... This years model uses CMI, which is just TCL's in-house name for BFI. This is just a made up name for fake 120Hz refresh rates, by "technically" doubling the actual 60 frames/sec by inserting a full black frame between every frame of content. Unfortunately it's just a poor excuse for the real thing and obviously comes with a big ball of issues and new added problems. ...Which is super unfortunate as probably 50-60% of its use is in my bedroom, mounted to the wall, as my "monitor" for my built PC for gaming. Watching it so far out and up, and even if slightly closer when gaming, makes the visual flicker/stutters from this TV is a real bummer. And I'm no where NEAR a fidelity snob when it comes to visual gear (yet), which might be obvious from the ~$250 4K purchase... ____________________ Now MOST TV's allow you to turn this feature off. For SOME CRAZY REASON this TV got approved without this ability included in the settings. It causes any slow moving or panning shots to straight up flicker, and it isn't "supposed" to be all that noticeable. But on these cheaper budget 4K options, it isnt ss consitent as higher end TV's. Theres also pretty bad motion blur, which I'm sure has a lot to do with the CMI you can't turn off... It's honestly kind of a deal breaker for me, even though every other aspect is honestly fantastic for my use case as a bedroom TV replacement for the 1080p LCD Vizio I had for 7 years that it replaced. But as I bought it online for a Black Friday deal, and by the time I got it those sales were long gone, it was just too much hassle returning it and looking for something better without spending much more. You also kinda get used to it. At least until the next time you're watching a bright-lit, wide shot, panning scene in a movie and it looks choppy from the black frame insertion, but it's honestly not ALL THAT common in my limited experience. If you can get over that, everything else is great. The full Google experience being built-in is way more useful than you might think, and although it is slow sometimes (which isn't a surprise due to the processers low core/thread count, so keep that in mind compared to other similarly-priced 4K LED TV's), it does come packed with features that make it sort of like a huge smartphone. Bluetooth 5.0 capabilities are great, as I have my TWS headphones paired for night time gaming/streaming while my wife and baby are sleeping, lag is well-within acceptable levels 98% of the time, but that's also without any LL AptX codecs, so good enough for what it is. Build quality is very good compared to others in this bracket, with a fully-metal back and easy VESA-mounting points. I have it on the wall with a $50 tilt mount from Amazon, which really helps with the viewing angle, as another "smaller" (depending on who you ask) annoyance is the narrow range of clear visibility. Even though it's a VA panel, it still doesn't look great too far out in either direction, so remember to make sure you can set it dead-center to where you'll be seated. But hey, either way it was essentially 2 steps forward, one step back for me, which is still an improvement. Also again, you're spending less than 300 bucks for 4K with a direct-lit LED display and full android smart TV capabilities. You really can't complain with a straight face.

Purchased this for man cave and guest room. Great price for a 50” smart tv with 4K. Kudos for excellent customer curbside service. Nice picture-not as crisp as I would prefer but still very bright and clear overall. Decent sound quality. Super easy to install on wall mount since it’s slim and lightweight. Remote is thin and simple with easy to read buttons although difficult to see in the dark since they don’t light up. Very pleased overall.

Very good price ($229 + tax- primeday offer) and impresive quality. Full 4K. 50inc. Chromecast built in.Bluethooh. Good Digital Antenna If you are a google user, Android TV(is not as solid as Fire Tv software) but make a PERFECT job comunicating-unifying with your Gproducts(homemini,mobile sharing and android remote etc). Sound very high and has different sound and Picture custom ization options. So far im very happy with TLC!

This television is amazing I never heard of the manufacturer before but I took a chance on this I am so happy that I did as I had never owned an Android television before this is an amazing picture the instructions were very easy to set up the television what a beautiful picture I have never seen such a beautiful picture and I have had flat screen TVs for many many years I would definitely buy this television again... I couldn't be happier the picture is just so crisp and clear for anything you're watching

It’s a solid TV for the price! The only downfall for my family is we all have iPhones and Macs and the Android TV doesn’t interact well with Apple. We can easily stream from our phones and computer to the TV and it’s not like that with this TV. If you have android phones, this is a great choice at a great price. As for the TV experience, picture is sharp! Colors look great, even from a side perspective. Sound quality is good. Overall I would definitely recommend this television.

My tv arrived in perfect condition! Fast and very convenient for me. It's the perfect size for my room, picture quality is great and the sound is awesome! I love it! I would advise anyone to look into buying this tv or any tv from Best Buy! They made sure that customer satisfaction was definitely a priority here! Perfect purchase for me!

This is a very good TV especially for the money. The picture quality is very good the clarity great as far as the specs are concerned, very easy to set up and start watching within 5 minutes. No need to fine-tune or spend 20 minutes reading the manual dialing it in figuring out the remote 5 minutes and you're done! No regrets!

We were in the market for a new tv for our bedroom. As, we have a smart tv in every room basically, even our kids from 5 to 14 has a tv in their rooms. We weren’t sure which kind we wanted. As, we have the TCL smart Roku TVs in most of the rooms. So, we looked into the TCL Android smart tv. It offers so many apps including a karaoke app which my daughter loves to play on in our room. This TCL Android tv is also different than the TCL smart Roku tv. This offers a Bluetooth connection already installed. Which I love personally. I own a IPAD and their is a app I use called CloudBeats and using this app I can connect it right to the tv and play my music that I have connected to it on my Google Drive. Now there is a downfall to his TV. It does not offer the Spectrum App if you want to cut the cord with Spectrum cable services. But other than that it offers so many offers. I really recommend this TV to anyone who is looking in the market to but a smart TV. The 50in TCL Android Tv, is amazing.

Nice tv....great image+sound...easy set up + connections

I wanted a newer and bigger TV for my living room for sometime. Best Buy had a Pre-holiday Thanksgiving Sale so I looked around for TV's. I wanted a 50" that's all I knew. I wasn't familiar with the brand but after reading reviews and getting a Tech warranty I decided to buy it. I'm not a huge tv viewer but wanted a nice television that my sons could play their online games on and see good movie quality as well. This tv does both! The picture quality is amazing and the Google apps are a plus. I have my Netflix Hulu and Spotify accounts on there so it's easy to use. Lots of apps to choose from. I have a swivel TV mount and it's perfect on the wall. Great Choice so far!

Great little TV.. well actually not little @ 50 inches. Android TV. I bought this for the mancave last week for a really good price. Great picture and decent sound for the price. I've had several Samsung TVs and this seems to be just as good so far.

Definitely the best TV I’ve ever purchased. Screen and sound are outstanding. Make sure the usage and diagnostic tab is turned off to avoid hacking.

This is an Awesome Android Smart TV has all the up to Date TV Apps the sound and picture quality is awesome. It was also very easy to set up and it's light weight not heavy for the 50 inch size.

Bought open box, works fine for what I paid. Connection to wifi will randomly get lost and I have to unplug it and plug it back in which resolves issue. Would recommend connecting it to a smart plug if you are having the same issue.

I bought this tv for my room. I love this tv. The quality is amazing. I recommend this tv for the quality and easy set up.

Great size great picture the tv is really good for the price. I would rather choose android tv over Roku any day. HDR 10 looks really good as well and Google assistant works excellent.

I have had no problems with this TV, easy to connect to the Wi-Fi. Picture quality is superb and it’s lightweight.

I am so happy I chose my TCL 50” TV. I absolutely love it. It is everything I need with a smart TV and it was a very easy online purchase from Best Buy. When the shipment arrived, it was packaged extremely well and the TV had no damage. I would highly recommend this product and also recommend Best Buy if you are in the market to purchase other electronics online.

Was reading mixed reviews but its a pretty good TV I just had to make sure I bought the extra protection for it just in case but has good picture and easy to set up
