I bought this and didn't even take the tape off. Android tv is great and that had no issues but the tv had a loud background noise that I couldn't get over. I would advise you spend an extra $50 or so and get an LG as some those are cheaper. If you can handle a loud buzzing while watching then it's a good price.

This is a fine TV -- it is not as good as the Roku TCL series 5 and 6's are, but it is a fine tv for the money. The interface is not as smooth as the Roku and doesn't interact with my wifi as well as the TCL Roku models. I thought we could use the android TV aspect to control many things in our house, but it's a little cumbersome to use. I would return it for a roku if I hadn't missed the best buy deadline for returning.

Television works good but no channels come in with my antennae. They come in with my old tv ! I just purchased cable tv and think it is a waste of money! TV fills your head with nonsense and garbage when you could be thinking productively. So I guess its ok if you have cable and dont use an antennae.

This is an awesome tv for the money. I love that you can get some of the apps from Google Play like on my phone. I love that I can cast from my phone from Netflix, Hulu, etc. The sound isn't anything to brag about, but a sound bar will fix that. I would definitely buy again or recommend.

I bought this as a gift for my mother for her birthday. Wish I would have gotten one for myself but she absolutely loved the TV and the fact that it has the apps right on it. Her favorite aspect of the TV is the voice activated remote. Great purchase and very clear picture when watching tv.

This TV is well worth the price. It’s got a microphone so you can find what you want to watch just by speaking into the remote. All the apps are all in one screen and all the shows you are currently viewing are saved on the home screen that way you don’t have to go into each app.

Pros: great UI, lightweight, affordable, good picture Cons: very dim, minimal picture options, no CEC support with optical cable (need to use separate remote for sound bar)

My new TV TCL 50 inch decided it was going to commit suicide after only six weeks, of which only 3 1/2 weeks were plugged in. It just died totally so I am taking it back this Monday 28th of December for a replacement.

Can’t complain about the tv for the price. I do feel the backlight is a little on the dim side and colors aren’t always that vivid. But I am also comparing it to a Sony XBR65X930D which was one of the highest rated TVs a couple of years ago. I’m still very happy with it.

Easy to set up two screws plug it in all set. Big and light wt. Picture is awesome can plug your smart phone into it for you tube,eBay e mail. And the guys down at best buy put it in my GT mustang from the front just have your seats down and put it threw the driver's door.

This TV is a decent value. Purchased it because of the Android OS and wanted to play with it as an e-sign, but the TV processor is so limited that it can't do much. The TV is fine as a TV with streaming, just not much more. Ended up connecting a pi running pi signage.

The picture is wonderful! I don’t know if it is the tv, Sony receiver I bought, or the connections by the Geek Squad, but when I put the power on the Comcast controller I always have to press the SAT/CATV button on the Sony controller to get a voice. Is this normal?

The TV was excellent the manufacturer warranty was awful. The screen went blank the day after the warranty expired and it was only one year. Tech support wasn't helpful. Nice tv but not made to last.

Bought this 4K TV for my aunt, who is not home theater enthusiast at all. I am on the other hand & I saw the extreme value when I bought it on sale. TV fits the bill nicely & I, along with my aunt, couldn't be happier! An excellent purchase!

I like this TV, so far. I've had it for a month now. Ask me again in a year. I don't know how to get to the internet with this TV. I assume it is possible. The manual does not explain. In fact, the manual is so minimal, there is much info that is missing :(

Product was delivered early and as expected. The TV works great and installation was easy. The process to hook it up was easy. Apparently it is not made for regular wall mounts so we had to set it up on the stand rather than the wall mount we already had.

TCL is a fine tv. Remote operation is customer friendly; as opposed to the comparably priced Samsung which I purchased first and returned. I mistakenly reviewed it in place of this one and rated it higher than it should have been.

Certain apps make the tv not work correctly. HBO for instance constantly freezes the tv and I have to hard reset for any other apps to work. Wish I got the TCL with roku instead of AndroidTv

I like my new tv. My only complaint is that the Hulu app sometimes gets stuck and I have to force shut down(Hulu) under the settings tab. I don’t know if it’s the app itself or the software of the tv. But I can live with it. Everything else works fine.

Overall we like it. Haven't really had enough time to get use to it. After we first set it up had some issues with the picture freezing for a second or two. Don't know whether it was the TV or the cable company. Doesn't seem to be doing it now.
