Buzzing noise

Expected garbage like in-laws at Thanksgiving

My child threw something at the other child and we wanted an immediate replacement. The plan was to wait until mid-next year once prices went down on 8ks and/or oleds. It does this annoying dimming and lighten effect depending on the scene. Has haze over any and all scenes that have light, like looking at the moon on a hazy night. Uh, there's a lot wrong with this TV, but I never had high hopes for a big screen $200 soon to be paper weight by summer in the first place.

Returned due to power supply humming and smelly pl

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.You get what you pay for: I wanted to like this TV since it was at a rock bottom sale price, but I returned it and got a Sony X750H instead (twice as expensive but worth it). The TCL power supply was emitting a constant humming sound when the TV was turned on, audible on the other side of the room. The construction seems to be of lower quality, and I think they used cheap plastic for the chassis, as the entire room stunk of plastic after having the TV in it overnight, even with the window open. The (entry-level) Sony doesn't have these problems and has much better build quality: obvious even in the packaging difference.

Was good for 3 months until it broke

I purchased one and took it back because it suffered from absolutely horrible backlight bleed, weird discoloration, and just looked like complete garbage. I got this one as a replacement and it worked great for about 90 days and now it’s completely dead. Won’t power on at all. Tried everything I could and it’s just completely broken after only 3 months. Pretty disappointing.

Cheap tv and cheap quality

Not for the weak

Only complaint about the product is the remote is horribly designed. I’d have a better chance cracking a safe than putting batteries in the remote

Just okay, not bad not great

I don't like Android TV.

Would rather have a regular remote with numbers and input buttons and a menu for the tv. This has menus for all sorts of things that I don't need.

TCL too Smart to Connect

Now I can't get it to connect to my Xfinity wifi network. I called TCL and they said that I need to ask Xfinity to change the router security settings from AES (stronger) to TKIP (weaker) so that TV will connect. Of course, Xfinity says that it is a TV issue that router settings have not changed since I joined with them 2 years ago. I agree. Still fighting with TCL to resolve, since it is now happening with other TCL models I have R615.

Never opened
