    Bought it right before thanksgiving and now It freezes and the screen goes black sometimes and I have no choice but to unplug it and plug it back in. I would return it but I think I’m outside the return window idk.

    Screen goes from full bright to complete darkness

    Probably the worst TV I’ve owned in my life. I’ve had brands from toshiba, Sony, Samsung, LG, Visio, Spectre, etc. I don’t mind that certain apps aren’t part of Android TV because of licensing but what is not okay is the quality of the actual item. The TV clearly doesn’t know how to transition. From scenes to scenes, the brightness will adjust all the way from fully saturated to completely dark for no reason what so ever. Thinking it may be certain apps, no, it’s all the apps. How can you let quality like this pass QA? Definitely do not recommend. Sound is nothing to write home about but definitely not the worst. Already emailed TCL support but yet to get a response. Spend an extra $20-50 to get something else.

    Sound quit working. Could not make it turn on (only off) with Google mini voice command. Hard to navigate Google android menu compared to my Roku. Legs seem flimsy... Menu items difficult to navigate compared to other televisions.

    Very few Google Play Store Apps

    Buyer Beware - This Smart Android TV does NOT have the full Google Play Store category of apps! I bought this TV because I have AT&T TV streaming service. On my Smart Vizio TV and Smart Fire TV I was able to download the AT&T TV app from the Google Play Store. When I tried to do the same on this TCL TV, it was not available in the search. In fact, about ¾ of the apps on phone from did not transfer over to this TV/are not available in the Google Play Store. Just want customers to be informed because I personally felt mislead.

This TV has access to 500,000 TV shows and movies available through the Google Play Store and 5,000+ apps.     Failure as a “Smart” TV

    It worked great for about one week, but now none of the smart features work. It doesn’t matter which app I use, it cannot stream anything. Every app either freezes or cannot load. Internet is connected, but no joy. Have tried resetting, connecting to different networks, signing out and back in, all the usual stuff to no avail. Failure as a “smart” TV, great as a dumb TV. Will either have to return or resort to plugging in a streaming device, which defeats the purpose of having purchased a smart TV.

    You regret it

    Save yourself the headache. The tv will go pitch black at any given time but still have sound. Unless you want to keep resetting it look somewhere else. I just missed my return window by 3 days.

    Damaged

    Only raiting 2 starts because i Ordered item as a Christmas gift. When we plugged it up the screen was damaged. Very disappointing but hopeful for an exchange and that best buy will honor the price I originally paid.

    Do not waste your money. I had it for 3 days and then that was it. Back to the store it go. After it did its system update it would no longer stay on WiFi. It would turns its own wifi off. Waste of money.

    Shocking surprise from Best Buy's standards!

    The TV is impossible to program with Verizon Fios remotes. The settings do not help at all in any way to get a good image in HD at all, poor andcrazy coor, offenive to the eyes,this is an incredibley cheap Chinese made pice of garbage. Have been working with the settings for weeks and the manuel doesn't help because the tv itself does not perform to any decent standards which we have finally come to conclude. Ot was misrepresented as great product w/ great price, great product for Roku also but that too is a supreme disappointment.

    The worst tv I have ever seen till now. It automatically signs me out of YouTube for no reason. Wifi is not saved, I have to reconnect to the wifi whenever I switch on the TV.

    Black Screen of Death

    Two days in and after a system update I received the black screen of death. Went all over the internet to see how to fix the problem to discover this model number does not have any of the "conventional methods" the other TCL models do. I contacted customer service and they just told me to do exactly what I discovered while searching the web. If I were you I'd look elsewhere or at least a different model. Other than that the interface was very good while it worked and the able to rearrange the apps was a plus

    Nothing but problems

    I thought I was upgrading from an older TV (not a smart TV) to this one, but I honestly wish I hadn’t. The picture and sound quality is fine, but it will not stay connected to the internet. It’s constantly saying no internet is available but when I check my modem, everything is still working just fine. This morning in particular it will not play any shows on any of my apps. I have reset my internet, cleared the caches and the data on the apps and tried again.... still won’t play. Very frustrating.
