50” TCL Android TV (Oct 2020 pre-Christmas)

The price we got has not been matched during the 2020 Christmas season. Picture was very good out of the box, though a few adjustments were needed. Found the Settings process & Android system to not be as intuitive as Roku set we have. This includes mastering the remote. TCL needs to “up its game” on both printed & online instructions. Is definitely a 4 star.

Great value TV

The sound is important because even with help from TCL we could not get our Yamaha sound bar to function well with the TV. It could find & identify the sound bar, but it could not pair with it. We got it to work by Bluetooth, but the sound quality was bad. That said, we only used the sound bar because the sound on our older TV wasn't good. The sound on this TV is fine.

Only issue is the operating system on this TV is really slow and it takes a lot of time to boot up after being off. Sound is decent also, but if you want good sound, you never rely on just the TV anyway. This isn't a premium TV, if you set your expectations accordingly, you'll be happy. I have it in my dining room, and I'm satisfied for what I paid for it.
