I got this to upgrade my television in the living room. I was amazed at the difference between this and my older television that isn't 4K. The image quality is great. Sound quality can be adjusted depending on what I am watching - so I can emphasize voice over soundtracks, for example. It was amazingly easy to set up. If you have a google account, it is no big deal to just log into your account and have access to all the things you would have access to everything that you have there.

I purchased the TCL 50" Android Television in October 2020. My son set it up remotely via his cellphone. Due to it's many capabilities he is able to watch Netflix, download all kinds of movies and play video games with people world wide. The picture quality is excellent and we got it at a great price. I would highly recommend it and yes, I would purchase a second one. Excellent product, you will not be sorry.

This TLC TV with built-in Android TV is wonderful. The color is vivid and the Android TV system gives me access most streaming services I use. For any streaming apps that are not available in Android TV, I can screen-share from any phone, computer or tablet using Chomecast (but I had a Roku device laying around so I chose to use that instead). This TV is easy to setup. The hardest thing I had to do was log into my streaming services.

We have had this TV for over a month now. The picture is nice and sharp. The sound is great, it gets much louder than I expected and way louder than any other flat panel we have in the house. The Android platform is great, there are so many options. The only negative is the limited remote control, but I knew this going into the purchase. We mostly use this with our cable box, so it is not an issue. And the remote does have voice control which makes up for the lack of buttons a little.

The Common Peoples' 4K HDR TV

I was skeptical that a $250 50" TV would be anything more than mediocre quality, but I'm a sucker for well-reviewed products, so I took a chance and bought this TV. The quality vastly exceeded my expectations. Image quality is outstanding, and it's difficult to go back to non-HDR displays now that I know what HDR is like. The TV isn't perfect, though. I use it as a PC monitor for the most part, and the colors are occasionally washed out and weirdly greyish when I turn the TV on--a problem that can be fixed by turning the TV off and on again--usually. Also, a strange line of garbage pixels shows up on the top of the display maybe 5% of the time when the screen changes resolution--another problem that is usually solved by turning the TV off and on again. If you're just using this as a TV, then it's tough to go wrong with the built-in Android TV features. The built in Smart TV menus are slower and have longer loading times than those on an external box like a Roku, but they're still acceptable. You can even give the remote voice commands like you would with your phone. If you're into gaming, this would also be a perfect TV if you're one of the few extremely lucky or morally dubious people who have managed to secure a Playstation 5 before Christmas 2020. I'm looking forward to trying a next-gen console on this TV once normal people are able to buy them.

Love the picture on the TV, hate the remote. I purchased this as I already had a TCL and have been very happy. The difference is that I had a TCL Roku TV and thought I was ordering the same except larger. My fault that I purchased an Android TV instead of a Roku, but I got sick and it was then too late to return. The picture is great on the new set, extremely clear and lifelike and easily seen across the room. The remote... you can keep it. It is more of a remote, than a control. Very few buttons. Maybe the voice control works, but so far if it does, it is very difficult. Maybe it is the menu on the TV. I have not been able to set favorite channels, because it seems to be a multistep menu, where other tvs are just hit the green button, or fav, or something similar. instead of the program guide is non-existant, which I don't like at all. I don't mean there isn't a program guide on the TV, but getting "no information available" on every single channel is not helpful. It is difficult to get what I want on the home screen, instead of some things that I will never use. Perhaps in the future, it will be easier to use, and I will change the rating. For now, even with a great picture, I would suggest purchasing something else, anf if possible actually seeing it in the store, instead of just ordering online.

The TV is nice and works okay, it's not the one I ordered from the store associate. I wanted the TCL TV that had Roku built in, this is the Android version. We were familiar with the Roku programming and options, this TV doesn't seem to have the same things or at least we haven't figured out how to get them, like some of the games. This TV has a nice picture and works well so if you don't care about the operating system I'd recommend it.

Great reasonably priced addition to the home. It has a clear picture and good sound quality. I love that Roku is built in, but didn't care for the remote. Be aware that if you have to buy a replacement remote, just because it says it works on Roku tvs doesn't mean it does. I found that out the hard way after the furbabies ate mine. It is a little harder to use without the correct one. Overall happy with this purchase.

I purchased a 50 inch TCL tv for my bedroom. I was going to get another Samsung but didn’t want to spend the money. I decided on a TCL because of the price and so glad I did, The pic quality is great, ease of use is great, and the ability to add apps is great. I wasn’t able to do that on my Samsung. As a matter of fact I have to hook up an Apple TV in order for me to download an app on my Samsung that I didn’t have to on the TCL.

I'm used to TVs in a higher price range, but I got this one as a gift. Extremely inexpensive when it comes size and features. You can expect to view content in all the latest formats with relatively simple UI and ease of use. The shortcomings are of course in terms of image quality, refresh rate, peak brightness etc. You're not getting cinema grade quality, but you're definitely getting a lot for less than 300 bucks.
