Menus are extremely sluggish and apps are riddled with crash to main glitches. Sound is lacking mids and base. You can customize some of the aesthetics but very little more than that. Good TV, horrible sleep timer, quite small remote

It's what I would expect for the price. The down fall, the horrific way of accessing the sleep timer, and the very small remote with no back light. TCL, you really dropped the ball on the way of accessing the sleep timer. Can you do a possible software upgrade to remedy the many, many steps needed to set the timer?

Do not buy: screen goes out within a year

The last two months it was extremely slow, with button presses being delayed on the remote by 10+ seconds. Hit 9 months and it started having a screen flicker, which turns to a black screen. Seems like it’s a known issue with this model, do not buy. Luckily it’s before the year warranty so TCL is willing to refund it. This TV was on a mount the entire time, it never was taken down and had zero external factors that would’ve affected it.

Good for use with other devices, or slow and dark

Bargain bin garbage

TV worked ok, the UI was somewhat fast, but I wouldn't call it blazing fast. Google would periodically push software updates which 9 times out of 10 would crash and I would have to hard reboot the TV, then I would manually update the software just fine. The picture was ok for the price point ($250 at the time of purchase), however since last week the TV turns on but with no image or sound. Tried multiple steps to try to reset the TV but nothing worked and it seems the Motherboard died... After a year and a half of VERY light use. This is my last TCL tv I'll ever buy.

In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.
