Bargain bin garbage

TV worked ok, the UI was somewhat fast, but I wouldn't call it blazing fast. Google would periodically push software updates which 9 times out of 10 would crash and I would have to hard reboot the TV, then I would manually update the software just fine. The picture was ok for the price point ($250 at the time of purchase), however since last week the TV turns on but with no image or sound. Tried multiple steps to try to reset the TV but nothing worked and it seems the Motherboard died... After a year and a half of VERY light use. This is my last TCL tv I'll ever buy.

In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. Do not buy: screen goes out within a year

The last two months it was extremely slow, with button presses being delayed on the remote by 10+ seconds. Hit 9 months and it started having a screen flicker, which turns to a black screen. Seems like it’s a known issue with this model, do not buy. Luckily it’s before the year warranty so TCL is willing to refund it. This TV was on a mount the entire time, it never was taken down and had zero external factors that would’ve affected it.

Good cheap solution for smart tv based on GoogleTV

Native streaming apps for all services and plenty of additional apps via an app store. Quality wise, it is not a match to my other TV set which is OLED that costs x5 but bang for buck this one wins.

I do have dislikes about it though.. sometimes it’ll glitch or go slow on the main menu, voice command doesn’t always go through, the sound isn’t the best but tv sound is trash anyways, other than that it’s good. I recommend messing with the settings to see what kind you like best for quality picture my favorite is movie. mode
