    Nice TV but cannot load the Spectrum TV app

    Works great nice price for a TV by the pool. Only draw back is that google no longer supports for the Spectrum TV app. You can load the Spectrum app on an I phone or I pad and then use Airplay but both the I device and TV will need to be on your WiFi network

    Did not last in outdoor heat

    Worked fine for a few months but now has a dead pixel line. Has been used outdoors (in dry area) since the beginning, so perhaps the Florida heat killed it.

    I bought one and my mom bought one. Mind went out after 8 months and my moms went out 3 months after purchace. Out of money just like that.

    DO NOT BUY THIS TV. THESE ARE FAULTY TV'S. TCL KNOWS IT. THE TV COLOR/DISPLAY WENT OUT AFTER HAVING IT FOR 6 MONTHS. CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY YELLED THAT THEY WOULD SEND ME A REFURBISHED ONE. I SAID NO I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW ONE SO SEND ME A NEW ONE. I TOLD THEM I WOULD REPORT THEM TO THE BBB BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THESE TV'S. THEY END UP OF SENDING ME A BRAND NEW ONE. IT HASNT EVEN BEEN 6 MONTHS FROM THEM SENDING ME ANOTHER ONE AND THIS ONE HAS NOW WENT OUT. WHICH MEANS I WRITING THE BBB NOW ANYWAY. MY BESTBUY WARRANTY HAS NOW EXPIRED WHICH MEANS I KNOW HAVE TO REPLACE THIS TV. THAT I TECHNICALLY DIDNT HAVE FOR EVEN A YEAR.

    Great TV. Not much else to say. Not any better or worse that other TVs. Took some time to learn the remote and i still have trouble on occassion with finding programs that I want.

    This TV has the soap opera effect pretty badly, and it’s not very effective at diminishing it with adjusting the picture settings. The background blacks are very pixelated in addition to the poor picture. I am glad I didn’t spend much on it, as I will most likely get rid of it soon.

    This is a great TV for the price - great resolution. The smart interface isn't the best I used, but ultimately got a Apple TV, so that doesn't really make a difference anymore.

You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet.     We purchased the TCL 50" television new from Best Buy 8 months ago. The screen went black. We contacted TCL since it is still under the 1 year parts/labor warranty. We went thru all the steps with them via phone to try and reset the tv. Nothing worked. They want us to send them the receipt and a short video showing the black screen. It will take 7 to 10 days for them to decide what to do about fixing/replacing. After that, it will take more time to replace/fix the tv. This is not an acceptable time frame. We requested to speak to a TCL supervisor or corporate office and apparently there is no way to go above the call taker's head. Needless to say, TCL will never be purchased again.

    This television is a great buy and the 50” version feels very large. Debated between 50” and 55” and have found the 50” to fit the size needs with quality graphics.

    Not a big TV viewer so I didn't expect the picture (black screen- even after all of the troubleshooting ) to go out (sound still works) after a year and and a few months. Disappointed :(

In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.
