Waste of money!!

TCL customer service was no help, as they suggested troubleshooting methods that I had already tried. Best Buy is no help, as their protection plan overlaps manufacturer's warranty, rather than extending it (ie: useless!) Now I have a $295 worthless decoration mounted on my wall. I wouldn't recommend this tv to an enemy, let alone a friend!

Our TVs do come with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. Black screen of death

Surprisenly disappointed

Stopped working after 18 months

We figured if it didn't work out, we weren't out much. It lasted about 18 months before it stopped working. It turns on, but does not bring up the home screen. We have tried all the quick fixes in the Youtube videos. My husband has gotten it to start up a couple times. We turn it off and it won't come back up again. I guess we got what we paid for.

Died after eight months usage.

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 50S446 in April of this year from Best Buy, a few weeks ago it started taking a while to show a picture on the screen, I would have to turn it off and on a few times before it worked. Last week it died, the screen flashed from black to gray with no picture, I can see the backlight on but no picture. There is a problem with this TV since so many people have the same experience. After back and forth with TCL, they promised to replace the defective unit with a like one.
