    Stopped working after only 2 years (black screen, so no video, only audio). TCL customer service was no help, as they suggested troubleshooting methods that I had already tried. Best Buy is no help, as their protection plan overlaps manufacturer's warranty, rather than extending it (ie: useless!) Now I have a $295 worthless decoration mounted on my wall. I wouldn't recommend this tv to an enemy, let alone a friend!

In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.     A month after the warranty expired it stopped working. Do yourself a favor and don't get a TCL pay the money and get a good TV.

    After having TV for approximately 4-5 months. The main board had to be replaced and still would not keep the picture. Black screen remained defective on this TV.

    Purchased this TCL 50" UHD LED Google TV in September of 2022 largely based on its very low priced. We figured if it didn't work out, we weren't out much. It lasted about 18 months before it stopped working. It turns on, but does not bring up the home screen. We have tried all the quick fixes in the Youtube videos. My husband has gotten it to start up a couple times. We turn it off and it won't come back up again. I guess we got what we paid for.

    Died after eight months usage.

    Bought the 50S446 in April of this year from Best Buy, a few weeks ago it started taking a while to show a picture on the screen, I would have to turn it off and on a few times before it worked. Last week it died, the screen flashed from black to gray with no picture, I can see the backlight on but no picture. There is a problem with this TV since so many people have the same experience. After back and forth with TCL, they promised to replace the defective unit with a like one.
