    This is a good smart tv for the price, however, i just got an issue with it. I bought the tv 10mo ago & havent had any issues until now, which is the picture has gone out on it. Powers on but i have a black screen and cant do anything with it. Ive checked my connections and everything is as it should be. Im not worried the slightest bit because like with most all my electronics i buy i also buy the protection plan to go with the manufactures warranty. I get in-home service so nothing to be concerned about. The Geek Squad has taken card of me with prior purchases & i dont expect this will be any different.

    Bought Dec 2022 but now 2024, Suddenly my unit stopped working. Tried resetting but did not work.

    picture was good, brightness was not good. From what I've found from owning both series 4 & series 5 google tv's, I say if you need a fairly bright tv due to windows, buy the series 5. I returned this due to having curtains open in the same room as this tv. It does not get bright enough for a room that gets sunlight. The google part is great since I cut the cord. Many free streaming services, plus I pay for 2 others which are in the google play store. If you need a tv for a room that gets a good bit of sun, buy the series 5, not this series 4. Picture gets much brighter and is better on the series 5.

    Broke after me than two years. Remote wouldn't connect even with brand new batteries. Tech support asked all the dumb basic questions then said there was nothing they could do and i should replace it. On tv controls didn't work either.

    This tv is amazing! It is so crystal clear. It almost feels like I'm watching something in 3-D. I am in love with it. I'm still playing around with it to figure out how to do things with it, but I'm getting to know it well. It's really nice and the price wasn't bad at all. I feel like I lucked out with it. I'm very happy with this newest member of the family.

    TCL's are hit or miss. The tend to burn out very fast. Screen flickers, very fragile. Do not recommend unless you can't afford to get a Samsung, or Sony

    The TCL TV is great and has a great picture, however I would never buy a TV with Google operating system again! The Google operating system is very glitchy. It's such a hassle to get to the channel/app of interest that I bought a different TV three months later and this one is sitting on the floor in a spare bedroom unused. Waited too long to return hoping it would get better but it got worse so I wasted $350.

    I wouldn't purchase this product again. I should have returned it or done a warranty exchange when I had the opportunity. It has increasingly become laggy and has various technical issues that just grow over time. I've noticed it's been an issue for other owners of google TVs as well. Should have just gotten a cheap TV for how low quality and frustrating this product is.

    I was so happy when I got my tv, it was bigger than I thought, and I loved everything about it. 9 months later, whenever I turn on my tv, a black screen appears. I was so confused since I had no idea what was happening, then I realized that the tv got connected to my speaker but I couldn’t see anything. That’s when I realized that I can hear that the tv works but the screen doesn’t display anything. I clicked the YouTube button, and it worked, I was able to hear a video playing but there was no image. I was very disappointed because I wasn’t expecting something like that. Thanks to TCL tech support, I was able to “fix” that bug at first, but now, 11 months later, the same thing keeps happening. I turn on my tv, and there’s a black screen. I can things in the background but nothing is displayed on the screen, it’s black. I have to unplug it, wait a few seconds to turn it back on because it doesn’t display anything otherwise. I don’t know what else to do, it’s just annoying to have to worry about those things

    Great tv however there are some horrendous connectivity issues. Don't get me wrong it does connect to the internet but if you turn off the tv and turn it back on it will show that it's connected to wifi but has no internet access. This same issue is even worse when connected through ethernet to router. It is extremely frustrating as it requires for me to disconnect from the tv and reconnect to get it to work again. I have a Vizio in my living room that we've had for YEARS and have never had an issue. The TV is incredible, however these issues are extremely frustrating when you expect the best from your purchase. I'm hoping that this is a software issue and it will be resolved in time but if nothing changes I ill be returning the unit and purchasing something else.
