    After reading the reviews and from others that own this brand I decided to purchase one. The picture quality is horrible I've made several adjustments and cannot get a clear picture. It's blurry on most channels live TV and Roku. I threw away the box and can't return, very, very disappointed. I own an Insignia should have stayed with that brand, outstanding TV.

    Picture is not as sharp as it could be. Also, when watching X Finity streaming sometimes TV zooms into picture showing heads only. I need to turn TV off to reboot and then it is ok.

    I wasn't feeling this one so I took it back and got a 49 inch lg which works alot better

However, there are some streaming channels that require subscriptions, pay-per-view, rental, or purchases to view their content. There is also a lot of free content, such as the Roku channel which offers a variety of free movies. You can find the "featured free" menu option from the home screen that will show you free content.     You get what you pay for

    I guess the people that rated this highly never had a good television before. Considering the advancement of television technology it almost doesn't make sense to pay top dollar for something like Aquos, but once you own a tv of this stature you realize you should have spent the money. I previously owned three 43" LEDs, two Insignia and one LG tvs. All three pictures and audios were leaps and bounds better than this TCL. The tv is gray washed like there is a film over the video. You can tune away the gray but the picture still is pretty bad. Also, the audio is about as garbage can as you can get. Digital audio is bad to boot, but this is super tinny. At 10 you can't hear anything, and 25 the tv is blaring and sound is distorted. Also, audio settings make fine tuning the set up with a sound system a little difficult. I wouldn't recommend this TV and honestly can't wait for it to break so I can buy a better one.

    The color and contrast not bad. The actual tv does not look bad but roku as the software not appealing

    I heavily rely on reviews. Used it for 4 hours and the screen started flashing red splotches. I always go name brand Samsung. But sales person persuaded us into persuaded us to try tcl cause TVs have come so far he said. He said these are top brands in China. Well leave these in China my suspicion was correct you buy you get cheap. Always been my way of thinking and never has failed me. Very disappointed now I have to box the darn thing back up and take it back just alot extra work to get a good TV.

    Don’t waste your money

    I regret buying this TCL tv. My friend warned me they are no good now and they are not, actually a terrible cheaply made TV. I purchased this in April. The screen started bleeding colors from one corner in August. Best Buy had me call TCL, they had me send them a picture and said they would come and fix it. Then a few days later told me they are not going to even come to fix because it appears screen is cracked from the picture! It must have came that way because we did not crack it. I know these are not that expensive, but I expected to last more than a few months! I will never buy another TCL product again! They are cheaply made at this point. I recommend you spend a few extra dollars on another brand like I’m going to do and don’t waste your money.
