Better option than some of the slightly more expensive models from other manufacturers. Acceptable picture and the built-in Roku functionality is great. Another plus are the sound modes that, like picture modes, let you quickly adjust the audio. Especially useful is the mode that emphasizes voices. The speaker performance on many newer TVs makes it difficult to hear voices clearly without an external soundbar or similar. This makes it much easier to hear using the internal speakers.

We bought this since we needed a new tv. It offers competitive quality for a really good price. Definitely recommend it!

Very happy with this TV. I doubt you could find a better 50" TV for <$300. I bought this for my son's room, and it's exactly what I was hoping for. It has rich color, decent motion handling, decent contrast, and surprisingly good sound. And the roku interface is perfect for a child. Obviously this is not a flagship set. It's not going to knock your socks off when compared with a higher end television. But it's a great option for those on a budget, or for a second TV. My only real complaint is that I wish TCL would have built in more display adjustments. But at this price it's hard to complain much.

Easy setup, very user friendly, great picture Right now, I have no cons about this TV. I would recommend to a friend.

Just one day after I purchased this TV, I started having issues with sound and/or picture. I spent hours talking to support, but they kept telling me I had antenna issues. After checking blogs about problems with this TV, I found my issue and the fix for it. It seems that the Live TV Pause has issues with some thumb drives and/or formatting, so I purchased a new drive and the problem went away. So, all is well now, and the TV picture is just beautiful, streaming or broadcast. I love this thing! I do wish that TCL support was a little more opened-minded and would actually listen instead of just assuming they know what is happening.

Great price,fast easy set up. Only took less that 10 min to unpack,set it up, and program it. Very happy with sales and best buy.

Overall operation is very user friendly. Size is perfect for my apartment. Would prefer little better picture quality, but for the price I paid its a steal.

This is an excellent TV for the money...yes you can go higher quality and $$, but for the price, Samsung is great. Have another 60" that is just as nice: but smaller. Like the integration of Netflix, YouTube and ESPN + Apple TV-Screen sharing. Ethernet input allows for connection to home network vs using WIFI, which provides instant connection and no buffering you sometimes get with WIFI.

This TV is great so far. I came from an Insignia 50" Fire TV unit that broke on me multiple times in the 11 months I had it. When I powered up this TV, just wow. I love the Roku interface and the colors are better. The integration with Alexa is better and more intuitive. It just looks awesome and works equally as well. Playing video games and watching Netflix on this TV, the picture is amazing. Time will tell if this TV lasts but I am truly happy so far.

This is a great TV for the price. It’s a good size and the picture is very clear. We have to reconnect it to the internet often but I think that’s more of a problem with our internet provider not the TV itself. Love the built in Roku; it’s great being able to access so many shows and apps without having to have a cable box. The only downside to that is it takes some getting used to, so it may be tough to figure out for those who are less tech savvy because internet based TV is different than traditional cable television channel surfing. Overall I highly recommend this Tv!

Love my TCL Roku 50 inch Smart TV! Pictures is clear fine viewing. Volume is not the best need to put it in 15 to 20

Great Display. Wow. the price was great Love the Roku feature. (one less device to connect. I have this unit mounted on the exterior wall of my house under the deck cover facing the pool. (mount extends and swivels. TV was easy to set up and sync with my wi-fi and cable TV. Good Luck

Could be a little better from side viewing. But overall a good tv at a decent price. The Roku interface is easy to use.
