Pixels at top failing

Poor Screen uniformity

Metal frame on the outside rim, didnt feel cheap at all. This tv definitely punches above its weight class when it comes to getting what you pay for.

Amazing 4K Picture!

I have a 43'' Sharp 1080 TV, and the TCL 50'' 4K (50S525) is definitely a step up. The picture is very clear, colors are vibrant, and the Roku interface is always great. I have a PS4, and there appears to be minimal if any input lag, so you will get a great gaming experience as well. Another awesome feature is that there are 4 HDMI ports, whereas most other mid-range 4K TVs only have 3. This is great for people like me who own many game consoles and a 4K player. I also like the shortcut buttons on the remote, which has buttons for Netflix, Hulu, Sling TV, and ESPN Sports. I wish Prime was on there instead of Sling TV or ESPN, but it's not a big deal. The only downside I have found is the sound quality of the speakers, which is decent but not the best. So, you should definitely set up a soundbar to make the most of watching TV, movies, or gaming. I highly recommend this TV to anyone who wants an amazing 4K experience.

Over the air channels and guide could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We decided on this model because we were interested in a Roku TV. We are generally happy with the TV although there are some issues we think could have been implemented better. There is a significant glare on the screen. We were able to reduce the glare by folding some cardboard and putting it under one of the back legs to lean the TV forward a few degrees. The main issue with the TV is with the over the air reception. We live in a rural area and receive our television over translators from both Phoenix and Las Vegas. There are a few instances where the same channel is used from both cities. Our previous televisions handled this by displaying two channel 5.1's for instance. The TCL gives us 5.1 from Phoenix. The 5.1 from Las Vegas is shown on its actual transmitter channel of 28.1. Unfortunately, the guide for the Las Vegas channel displays information from the Los Angeles PBS affiliate. There are other discrepancies with the guide as well. A case is pending with TCL support and we are awaiting a response. Overall we like the TV and its features.

Hot Mess. A value for size, but not "Smart" at all

They should change the name from Smart TV to Dummy McDumbFace. The processor in this thing is SO SLOW. When you press any button on the remote there is a delay, or no response. This means you press everything 2 or 30 times. Also, make sure you are pointing the remote at EXACTLY the little light on the bottom of the TV or it thinks you are talking to the refrigerator or something. Every day I have to REconnect it to my Wifi router because it can't find it. When I do the connect process it does instantly, so it's clearly not a signal or range issue, it just "forgets".

Great,BUT

Not the Internet or wireless, tried 2 different tv's with same connections and they had NO problems.
