Love My TCL 50S546. I Read all of the Reviews & I've had none of the problems described in Bad Reviews. Easy setup & Very few changes to Settings. We Love this TV so much we are waiting for TCL 55S546 to Go on sale to Purchase & Move TCL 50S546 to Bedroom. Can't comment on TV speakers as my sound goes thru my Denon AVR Sound System

Great television for the price and need. Works great.

Unable to disable HDR for apps like Apple TV or Prime Video. Way too dark to view on my screened in covered patio during daytime. Contrast/Brightness etc can't remedy. Good for inside, but an obvious fail for this application. Google OS is stable.

Using this on an Xbox Series X, I turned of all the HDR/Dolby Vision settings and had to fiddle with the picture to get it to my liking.

Great tv overall, amazing resolution and color rendering, especially during gaming in 4k. The downside is that during movies or shows played from DVD or streaming, there is a bit of stuttering every once and a while (lag), and worse, if there are subtitles, the letters will smear across the screen. It's very strange because the stuttering absolutely never happens during gaming, and you would think it would be the opposite.

Tv lags when using the remote to connect a device or just searching for something to watch. The voice search button stopped working on the remote within the first couple weeks of having it. Volume has to be up pretty high to be able to hear what I’m watching. The 10 year old tv I was replacing still works better than this tv.

Overall so far it's a good tv. The remote is in style for streaming not for cable type tv.

I've had this TV for several months. The display is excellent. Nice, bright and vivid. The volume is sufficient and doesn't sound all tinny like some TVs. I very much enjoy images, and I don't even have to use a sound bar to hear it well. The problem is the software. It's not ready for prime time. It's glitchy. It's slow to load. The YouTube app doesn't load at all sometimes. Sometimes when I try and open the Amazon app, Chinese comes up. I think it stems from losing the Wifi connection with the router. Basically, the software is kinda jacked up. It sucks. I can't in good faith recommend the TV to anyone because of the software. They've had months to get it right, but it's still buggy and slow. I don't particularly like the fact that the remote doesn't have numbers either, or the one-button control on the TV, but they are workable. The software is the problem. You feel like you have a beautiful TV that is limited by their subpar software and this limits your viewing and entertainment experience. If I could do it all over again, I might opt for the Roku as opposed to the Google version of this TV. TCL needs to do better.

It's a good choice for the budget, colors and contrast are perfect but de software needs an optimization.

Had to return this tv. Tried to see if I could play with the picture but the white and bright areas looked pearl white. They had glow that was annoying. This on an AppleTV 4K device. With a 4K HDMI cable. So it wasn’t my devices or cables. Picture was good but just couldn’t get used to the pearl white and glow from the white in shows and movies.

This is a great mid tier TV. If you're looking for a cheaper tv, $600 and under, I strongly recommend this TV. To address the concerns some may have, yes the google TV OS on the tv isn't the best. However, a recent update mitigated most of the slow responsiveness of using the interface and my experience with the TV has been a lot better for the last week since the update. So if this is your concern, its being addressed and they have basically fixed the issue in my opinion. The picture quality on this tv is AMAZING for the price. I'm genuinely blown away by it and its not too difficult to get a great picture by changing some of the default settings. Since its a question below, the sound quality on this TV isn't good but this is the case for most modern tv's. If you watch movies or just want better sound, a soundbar is a must.

Nice so far used for a ywar. Only things is that google tv are comparably slow than roku.

I had this TV for 10 days before returning it. The picture quality is fantastic. This was my first time seeing a QLED in action and...wow. It's hard to have to go back to my old TV for now. Now I had 2 issues with this QLED TV and they both involve the audio. The first is that the sound just doesn't sound great. It often sounds muffled. The other issues I would often have is audio delay. Specifically in devices connected through HDMI ports 2 and 3. The delay was about .5 to 1 second. It isn't something that would just happen while I'm watching or playing something. It would only happen when switching inputs or turning the TV on/off. Restarting the TV or my devices would always fix this but only temporary until I switch inputs or turned the TV on/off again. This could have just been an issue with my specific TV because I couldn't find anyone else online who has these same problems with this TV. The picture quality may be amazing but sound is just as important and that is why I had to return it.

This is a very good television. The picture quality, the HDR, the interface are just amazing.
