TCL Series 5 - pretty good quality and great value

As a mid-level flat screen it does a pretty good job with most media, but best with 4K content. Love the Google interface. It cannot compete with the outstanding 6 series mini-LED (I have that TV also…an amazing set), but at this price point it’s a very good value for good quality!

The start up is always slow when you turn it on and there is always a delay when you click on any of the buttons on the remote. Every now and then the tv doesn’t respond to the remote and I have to plug it out and back in. Other than that this tv has made it this long so it gets 3 stars.

Easy set up, great interface, beautiful picture quality. My Apple TV 4K and Xbox Series X look ridiculously clear and vibrant, with deep blacks. No regrets!

Very impressed, at first was a little skeptical being the brand was not a popular brand you hear of. But the sound, brightness and clarity changed my mind.

Slow Buggy Software Don't Buy

Buggy performance

This has been happening since it was brand new. I wish I had gotten the Roku TV version but was hopeful the new Google TV was better, but has been very disappointing.

Best on a budget

And Google TV is the most intelligent streaming interface I've ever used. I use a sound bar, so the sound quality is a moot point for me.

OK TCL TV

We have apple play & still have not figured out how to use the apple remote to turn the TV on/off just using the apple remote. We have to use both remotes. TCL to turn TV on/off. Then the apple play to to apple off. Probably would have been better with Roko or Firestick.

I've adjusted the settings as much as possible but most people with no melanin look like zombies and the "soap opera" effect doesn't seem to go away. The wifi connection is great because my Vizio used to cut out on YouTube constantly. Only purchased this because the Vizio went out but I think there are possibly better screens or I'm just not a fan of 4k.

Amazing picture, horrible sound

I've had my fair share of TVs and this is by far the worst one in audio. But you can fix it by getting a cheap pair of desktop speakers or a soundbar. Just don't buy this TV without a new audio solution.
