great picture for the price paid worth it for anyone considering buying

I am from Gen Z so any picture i see is 100 time better than old console TVs. The TV picture is really good for the price, heck all TVs are nice these days. The problem with TVs today is the software. This unit software is slow and buggy, once you get it going it will deliver a stunning image at this price point. If someone is judging your TV because of the brand or price, i must know what are they doing in your house.

Colors look awesome in this TV. Image quality is very good as well. Google TV is sometimes laggy, but it's not a big issue. Also, black uniformity is not great, but who wants to stare at a black screen. Overall, I think this TV is a very option if you are looking for good quality and not too expensive.

... I might have waited and missed this excellent TV at its Sale price. The TV checks all the feature boxes in the 50 inch size that it has on the 65" size and that is *not* true of many other manufacturers' models. (So maybe they do but don't believe a reviewer that says "we tested one size but the other sizes should work the same." Maybe they should but more often they don't!) It has 60Hz panel with good picture quality. To me, the screen is more than bright enough for the bedroom and I need to investigate more to get it dim enough to watch comfortably in the dark. There are a lot of image quality controls. You need to pay attention because some effect the entire TV, done only effect the input that they were set on. The remote feels cheap and is not intuitive. You might have to read the manual! I choose a Google TV because I was already use to running a Fire TV dongle and I hoped to get additional functionality with the Google environment as another option. I think that YouTube offers more on Google TV and I can view my Google movies directly without having to cast them from another device like you do with Fire TV. Other than that, I've spent most of the time on the Fire TV dongle as I think it has a better user experience. Important to me: when I ask Fire TV assistant a question it directly returns to the movie or whatever I was doing when it's done. The Google assistant stops the action, exits the app and leaves you there when it's done... You have to manually re-launch the app you were using and restart your movie selection. That seems very primitive to me. I have the Fire TV dongle, the cable box and my laptop connected. My old laptop only supports 4k at 30Hz and that is crystal clear and laser sharp while working with text or surfing. My gaming rig is in another room. I've installed the Steam app on the Google TV side and it works as expected though I've only tried 1080p play so far. Growing pains. Voice activation of the Google assistant hasn't worked since the last update though still works if you push the button. The Fire TV dongle used to turn the set on and off (when using Alexa commands) but that doesn't work right now either. I expect these back in another update and don't deduct for that because they seem to be coming often enough. The clunky task switching when using Google TV though is a real bother and that does take one star off. Hope that helps!

Picture Perfect, Os is not slow like some people suggested, built in sound definitely not good but thats what sound bar is for.

50" TCL tv is very reasonable priced for the money.

Bought for my daughter. She is very happy the functionality of the tv. Also, the size is perfect for her bedroom. Always have been a Tcl fan and they earned my business again!

This Google qled tv is a hit with my son! I gave it to him early for Christmas and he loves it! It has a great picture for gaming on his xbox and works with his pixel 6 and Lenovo Google clock. I would recommend this tv if your tight on a budget but you don't want to sacrifice quality.
