Great price, easy to set up, great picture. The sound is fair to good. Easy enough to fix with any inexpensive sound bar. Everything loads fast. No issues to report.

Purchased this TV after my old Samsung 43" died on me. The picture was definitely an upgrade and roku OS is more user friendly and preferable than the Samsung OS. I recommend for a good entry level TV that wont break the bank.

Non-primary TV, upgrading from last years Samsung 6900. Quality is noticeably improved. Localized dimming, color, brightness, quality of manufacturing are all a step up. For the price it's an incredible buy and would very much recommend.

While I quite like the Roku system, and much prefer it over Fire TV or Google TV due to the lack of throwing everything in your face and letting you just go to the channel you want, Roku built in to TVs seems to struggle. Roku, the company, has good support for the Roku TVs and continues to update them for years but I have noticed, on this TV and an older model, that Roku TV seems to have issues with certain apps. Disney+ for one. On both this TV and my prior TCL Roku TV, Disney+ tends to glitch the video fairly often. I don't see this on my Roku Ultra connected to another TV. As far as the picture goes, it seems good to me. I don't have a fine eye for details but it looks nice. Not mind blowing or anything. I can't really tell the difference in the image quality between this and my 5 year old TCL Roku TV, which was also 4k but didn't have HDR. Speaking of HDR, I always hate HDR when I first watch something in it and haven't used HDR in a while. Then you get used to it and it doesn't bother you. The build quality of the remote is sub-par. My 5 year old remote feels better than the new one AND the new one makes noises. Not impressed. It also doesn't come with one of the nice remotes with a headphone jack for private listening. It would be nice to see TCL step up their game with the remote. The new remote Roku sells with the rechargeable battery would be awesome to see bundled in. Speakers are fine. A bit better than on my older model but like any built-in TV speakers they are nothing to write home about.

My son's old TV died and I needed to get him a new TV with decent picture quality and response for gaming. Needless to say, this TV is as good as advertised. It's only 60hz, but it's a very good TV both in picture quality and lag time while gaming. Roku interface is simple and easy to use with all necessary apps. A great budget gaming tv if anyone is looking for one.

Exactly what we needed. Great picture for the size and great price. Super easy to set up. Just sign into Roku or make a Roku account and its all set up. I like Roku better than firestick because they have apps you can use as a remote if you lose yours. Firestick can us app remotes but you have to use your remote to allow it...so if you lose your remote you cant connect another remote without a remote!

This will be my third TCL TV with ROKU onboard. No, not replacements; I now have 3 of them: two smaller ones in bedrooms and this one will replace a not-so-smart TV in the living room. The color is rich and vibrant and the sound is excellent. "Pro tip" - there's available a voice-activated remote made by ROKU that will work with Any ROKU TV; it's worth the +/-$25 investment.

A few things to know with the TLC series 4 model

Prior to settling on this model I had purchased two TCL and one had a cracked screen, and the other a defective sound card. Finally, the third time was a charm. This works pretty well, and I can use it with an antenna and pick up thirty local ch and it has Roku built-in. I get many channels with that but some drop off and go black. I suggest setting your TV up not to drain excess power say with bright settings and so on. This TV does not tolerate lots of power-draining settings and my sound bar drains a lot causing the TV to go black until I went into settings and stopped the draining settings. I now go with the TV presets and leave it alone. All and all TLC makes a decent enough product on the 4 series for a low cost. My understanding is the 6 series is the absolute best but cost a couple of hundred more. This TV does have a headphone jack which comes in handy. It has 3 HDMI pluts as well. TV works pretty good now but it tilts forward as the two legs are not that strong and the TV is to heavy for them. Space between the stands is around 43 inches so have a fifty inch table to set it on. Sound is average on this TV. I do not need anything fancy, but being older and with hearing loss, I had to buy a soundbar. I would suggest the Bose TV bar...nothing fancy, reasonable cost, and sounds good for most shows. Yamaha bars are good and if you have the money, Sonos is really good also. If I had to do this again, I would buy a TV with blue tooth and I would buy the series 6 TLC TV.

Good: Great picture once you make some adjustments. Quick Boot. Bought for our vacation rental and it has Guest Mode, so people can put in their own Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. ids and have them erased based on the date and time they set for checkout. No need for a soundbar, the sound is actually good. Tunes in our antenna quite well even though we're on the edge of the range of the nearest stations. Bad: Does need you to dial in the picture. Sports looked great out of the box, but tv shows had that over-realistic washed out too bright look until I found my way into the right menu and made some changes. Also, the standby LED is like an airport light, and it took me a while to realize you can go into the menu and have that turn off when the TV turns off. Since both things are pretty easily fixable, I give this 5 stars, especially for the price, and especially if you need a TV that is good for a Vacation Rental.

Excellent TV for the price. Clear, clean picture. Easy to set up. Roku is a delight to use after having an Android interface on my last bedroom TV. The remote is simple, intuitive, and easy to use, even when nearly asleep and fumble-fingered. No more having to turn on the lights to find out which tiny little button I pushed by accident. Also compatible with Alexa, as long as you have it set up properly. (There is a setting that allows for control by other devices that must be switched on.)

TCL has become a household name for TVs, in my family. We love them. For reference: I love Samsung as much as anyone, they make amazing TVs. They can also get quite expensive. TCL is not Samsung. But they ARE an amazing quality picture. I truly think you'd have to spend double the amount of money to beat it, which is why it is now our go-to TV brand for like 6 years (we've had 2 in various office/bedrooms, all of which are still running perfectly). I use this model specifically for gaming and streaming movies, and it is perfect for it. TCL excels at minimizing input lag, and the HDR and on-screen detail are top-notch for the price point. 4K movies and shows are stunning, and the color quality is great. I do have 1 mild CON: The stock speakers are not great. BUT most of today's TVs don't excel in that area. So I am not going to deduct that, as any decent budget-friendly soundbar can fix that, and that was true even for my last Samsung TV. SIDENOTE: If you have never had a Roku TV, GET ONE. Roku is by far my favorite Smart TV OS. It is so simple, it doesn't throw a bunch of ads at you, and it has an awesome library of apps/services to use like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Funimation, etc.

This TV has a great picture, I did adjust the picture settings (I just Googled best picture settings). I did a lot of research before purchasing this TV and saw a bunch of good reviews. I have to say It did not disappoint. I also love that Roku is built in, because I stream everything, it makes it super simple. I use it as my Man Cave TV but like it so much that I am buying a 6 Series for my main Living Room TV.
