Have had this television on the wall for a few weeks now. I'm very happy with it. I'm amazed at the quality for what I paid. My previous television was a plasma that I purchased in 2003. I miss the incredibly wide viewing angle afforded by the plasma however this television is exceptional in almost every other way!

Literally will not go back to a diff brand. TCL Roku tvs have proven to be the best in my opinion in terms of performance and user friendliness. Unfortunately it does have some issues but nothing a system restart can’t fix. I also recommend getting the better Roku remote for more personalized options (two personalizable buttons for your fave most used channels).

Bought this for mom's room. Bright light comes in as it faces South and brightness looks great against all that daylight. Sound is beefy as it has a good size component box bottom back. If it was thinner then would need a sound system. Interface is easy to use. Does feel a little slow but balance that with cost and its acceptable. Netflix streams in perfect through wifi. No complaints so far.

Great TV for the price (even though I'd hoped it would go on sale, but it never did) Excellent picture from both 4K Sony bluray player and Netflix. Easy assembly and setup. Only thing I haven't figured out yet is if i can get true Dolby Digital 5.1 from the optical out when watching Netflix. Netflix streams audio using DD+, but I have an older Denon Receiver that does not have HDMI arc

Solid Midrange TV! Yeah, it doesn't get super bright, but for a midrange TV, the HDR colors do pop. The black uniformity is good, with maybe occasional blooming , but nothing bad. I'd recommend this. I bought the 50 inch. This has been the 2nd TCL in the home. The 1st was returned to target and even though it was under 170 bucks, it doesn't even come close to the quality of the S535. If you're worried about VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) or 120hz for the new gaming systems, then get ready to poney up more money. If you casually game or looking for a TV that has a wide color gamut and decent picture when viewing HDR, get this. Oh, one thing that is probably a let down; it doesn't automatically go to the connected source, you have to manually select which port to view an external device like a Roku. Yeah, Roku is integrated in her, but I have the Ultra Lt.

I know how hard and time consuming it is to purchase a television. Reading the reviews, comparing models, reviewing specifications takes time and still it feels that you didn't do enough prior to purchasing the television. If you're seeking a mid-level television for approximately $500, it's going to be extremely hard to find a better value for your dollar than the TCL, Class 5. Understand, you're not spending more than $500, so don't expect theatre level quality. However, the picture, sound and Roku provide everything and more for a mid-level television. This is my first TCL purchase and I expect not my last. Thank you TCL for making a quality television that didn't break my wallet.

Very happy with the TV. This is the second TCL TV I purchased the past year. The built in roku is nice. Viewing angle is still not as good as my 10 year old 60 lb plasma TV. But the TCL TV is much more manageable for setting up. Be careful unboxing the TV to avoid damaging the TV if you have not done it before.

QLED is bright and colorful. Roku is easy to use but ever so slightly laggy compared to standalone Roku on our other TVs. At the time of purchasing, this was hard to beat and I’d buy it again if I had to start over. It’s really hard to fault this as long as it lasts at least 5 years.

I purchased a 30" tv a 50" tv and computer at the same time. 50" tv is the best of the 3 as it has cable and internet set up on it has no need for "rabbit ears" . The picture is very clear. Good for older eyes, The remote will be the death of me. There were no instructions so it was a trial and error process. Took 2 days to find the volume control. CC got turned on and haven't been able to turn it off.

Good TV and we love the Roku interface. I bought this same model in 55" and was so pleased with it that when we needed a slightly smaller TV it was a no-brainer to get the same model. Great color, sound and most of all ease of use due to the Roku app. Can't ask for more.

I purchased this because of the price. I had it shipped to my home. It arrived and found it sitting on it's end at my front door. That concerned me. I opened it up and everything looked good. I proceeded to mount it on the wall and then turned it on and found several places along both the left side and right side of the screen with dead pixels. I took the TV down and returned to BestBuy in person. They accepted the return just on my word. Apparently, this is a big problem with this unit. They ordered me a new one and I picked it up a week later in person this time. No problems with the replacement unit so far. Color is good and the sound is better than I expected w/o a sound bar. I would give it a higher rating if I did not have to return the first one. I don't know if it was defective from the manufacturer or from the delivery company. Just be prepared that you may have to go through more than one unit before you have one w/o dead pixels.
