Customers are saying

Customers admire the 50" Class Q5 Q-Class 4K QLED HDR Smart TV with Google TV's stunning picture quality, vibrant colors, and ease of use, finding it to be a great value for the price. However, some users experienced slowdowns with the operating system and remote control functionality. While many praise the color and refresh rate, concerns were raised regarding app performance and occasional system instability.

    Takes too long to load

Purchased it on black Friday so got it for a deal but if I had to pay full price for it, I honestly wouldn't. The video quality is better than expected, very vibrant and clear. I just wish it didn't lag as much. It takes way too long to load/stream and constantly freezes. I know it's not my wifi because all of my other TV's in the house work and stream perfectly fine. Very frustrating for a brand new TV.

    The disposable TCL Roku TV

We purchased a TCL 50" Roku TV on recommendation just over one year ago. We had Best Buy install it along with a sound bar. We loved the products for one year and two weeks, then the TV went blank, we stopped loving it. We had the Total Tech package but due to the cost we did not renew it, our mistake. No one would talk to us, I tried TCL, they closed the online tech call because I took too long finding the info they wanted from my TV and the video they wanted me to email to them. Everytime I tried to contact them after that I got no response. Now TCL does't even make that TV (Roku), I am told. I get the feeling they believe they are disposable. Shame.

    Two Remotes Needed

    Posted .

Nice looking, but the Directv remote will not recognize the tv. The model number is not listed on Direct and an hour of clicking through a system and another hour with TCL phone people did not help. Taking it back to Best Buy. To make it work, the channel changes with the TCL remote, and the volume with the Directv remote.

      Hi ModineG,

Thank you for taking the time so provide your feedback. Our TVs are compatible with most cable remotes. Many cable box remotes can be programmed to control select functions on the TV. You can visit https://support.tcl.com/us-remote-codes for more information. If you do not see your specific remote, you would need to contact the remote's manufacturer to obtain the remote code from them. The manufacturer of the remote determines the codes and compatibility. If you need any further assistance, please reach out to us at tclsocial@tcl.com with your contact information and a description of what you need help with.

      Thank you,

      Hi NoahB,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. This is rather unusual, as this new TV comes with two feet with screws to secure them, a power cord, a remote, and a quick start guide. You may want to check your receipt to see if the TV you purchased is new or Open-Box/Previously Owned. For Open-Box/Previously Owned TVs, you would need to contact your retailer for assistance. If purchased new, we would love the opportunity to look into this for you and gather more information to see how we can best assist you. In order for us to better assist you, please reach out to us at tclsocial@tcl.com with your contact information and reference this review, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

      Thank you,
