Coming from a 10 year old Sony 1080p 50 inch tv this is a whole different image quality. Better colors darker blacks great audio. This tv is bright not the brightest but for the price is and a budget tv this local dimming tv is great. For gaming is not the best but to me and the price is good.

TV has a very good picture overall and sound quality is good. Brightness is good in a room with many windows. Not entirely happy with lower refresh rate and motion enhancement rate, as it seems to blur a bit with motion, but it is less money than higher rate TVs; also, I wanted 50" size, and higher rates are not available at a reasonable price in many TVs this size (would have had to go to 55", which would be a bit too large for our room). TV also has a couple issues with syncing audio with the video, and, though there is some adjustment available, it seems to differ on different channels/streaming-services (though, not sure if this issue is fully caused by the TV or our cable provider)

TV is a good size and has good definition. Sound is nice and loud. It's bright, blacks look good, it's nice and light

Easy set up. Good, clear color and picture quality. Easy user interface. Best Buy even gave me a refund for the difference after there was a price drop following my purchase! Only negative is that the Google OS has occasional problems loading one my apps properly (Tablo). I have a Fire Stick attached to get around the issue. Can't really speak to the sound quality since I'm using a sound bar.

great colors and brightness but the 50 inch model is not the best for gaming and overall i don’t think it is but good speakers as-well and great operating system

Very bright, very precise picture. Fast processor for smooth, fluid navigation. Lots of connection options. Great app options, including Google Free Play. Easy setup. Single complaint: VERY narrow viewing angle. Picture quality drops dramatically at 45 degrees off center

A beautiful TV with many options. Very easy to set up and very bright without looking washed out. Colors are vibrant and this TV shines with a 4K Blu-Ray player and a video game console. Video modes are plenty. Cinema mode is worth the price alone as it makes even regular TV look amazing. Gaming mode looks vibrant on both PS5 and Xbox, with both systems showing excellent responsiveness. Menus are well done, but since you can configure so many items, you do get lost until you work with the settings for a bit. Sound is way better than other TV’s of its type. This TV has more range with a little more bass, as compared to other large named TV’s. Sound is clear and not muddy. Have not needed to use my sound bar since installing the TCL. A great product offered by Best Buy.

Amazing value for the price; bought this on sale new for $280 pre-tax. Very good quality picture for that price. The only downside is that the 50” model (the one I bought) is locked at a 60 Hz refresh rate at all resolutions, so it could be an issue for high-end gaming. But overall for the price, I really cannot find any other major faults. The picture quality is decent and the OS is snappy enough. Sound quality is nothing special; I bought a soundbar to improve it. Quite happy with my purchase.

The TCL QM5K QLED-Mini LED TV is very easy to set up and has a pretty good picture. What I didn't realize, because there wasn't a TV displayed in the store, is that the viewing angle is extremely limited. The colors "wash out" and take on a gray-ish tone. If you sit with a direct view, and not off-center, you'll be very pleased with this TV.

Excellent picture quality with an easy setup. We dont use Google TV but our Roku bix works just fine with this TV.

I’m very happy with this TCL TV. The picture quality is sharp, colors are vibrant, and the brightness is more than enough for daily use. The Google TV interface is fast and easy to use, and all popular apps like YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video work smoothly. Overall, this TV offers excellent performance for its price and is a great choice for movies, sports, and everyday watching. I would definitely recommend it.

good picture and sound, however it is locked to 60hz, no big deal. However, you must sign in to the google tv for them to harvest and sell your data, otherwise you will be assaulted with “finish setting up your tv” messages. also they lock up netflix and youtube behind the account sign in, so i tried just using the tv thru hdmi without setting up wifi but it becomes a truly unbearable user experience (popping up ads and sign in prompts mid game or movie) so i just gave in and let them install their adware. what a time to be alive

Overall, good value for the money. The picture is pretty good for this new mini-LED technology. The refresh rate could be better at 60HZ though if gaming or watching sports. TV was definitely lighter than I expected, but was a positive for me since I mounted it on the wall.

Quality TV with easy and intuitive navigation. Great if you're looking too upgrade to something affordable.

Nice picture. Easy setup. Easy to move, very light. Had originally purchased a Samsung and was not happy with picture and remote. Returned for this one. So much better!

Honestly this TV is amazing. The picture quality is beautiful, easy set-up, and is the perfect size for a bedroom television. The sound could be a little bit better, but it honestly isn't that bad, it's just me being picky. Other than that, this is great TV at a very affordable price point. Highly recommended!

I'm not the most informed consumer of TVs, but for the price this TV seems to be great value (I've had for a month or so now). UI is user friendly with customizable options. Picture seems clear and vibrant to me, though if you really focus you can notice some pixelation which could bother folks. I use it primarily to watch football and sports and it is sufficient for my tastes. Sunday ticket multiview can be a bit lower quality, but full screen games look fine to me. I think this is excellent value for the $300 price tag, especially if it survives for a few years.

Upgraded a bedroom tv for my grandfather with this TCL. Pretty much anything would be an upgrade over an early 2000s samsung with a partially burned out backlight but we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of such a budget priced tv. We got it for around $275 on black Friday and compared to pretty much every tv at that price point this TCL is the best option and it's not even close. The color and brightness blows pretty much every hisense, samsung, and LG out of the water in the cheaper TV segment. TCL's built in display settings are pretty intuitive and some editing can really make shows and movies blow you away with the color and sharpness of the image. TCL's motion smoothing is significantly less jarring to look at than other brands and makes lower quality videos look less choppy. Our one complaint thus far is the activation delay in the local dimming. Not sure if it's an issue with our specific TV but when a dark scene comes on there is a noticeable delay in the backlight dimming that can sometimes ruin how a scene looks and breaks your focus actively seeing the scene dim much slower than other full array tvs you see in store. I however can't in good faith compare it to our only other tv with local dimming (Hisense U8QG) considering the price difference but still a factor to consider. Otherwise excellent TV for the money.

The tv was easy set up. It was also much lighter than I anticipated. The picture is of good quality and teh sound for a tv is excellent.

I originally bought and LG, but when I got it, the box was damaged and the screen was cracked. So I returned it and got this tv. I'm so glad I did. It was a few dollars less than the LG and it has a better picture. The remote and UI is easy to use.
