This replaced a 48” Samsung, so not much larger, but love the upgrade, nice picture and the best part is the excellent google tv interface. Never thought I would say that, but works well with the typical Hulu and Netflix, and also with antenna tv, which is not a compressed signal, so really nice picture. We also use Tablo to record and this has a nice app and works well.

My new TCL tv is fabulous The color and images are excellent— also the service was the best yet .The sales associate explained everything in detail . He listened to my concerns and explained why the led mini was a good choice..we discussed the operation and every detail.He told me I could come back and ask him any further questions. That Kindness made me feel Comfortable and is the main reason I come to Best Buy to shop Kudos to your associate -please acknowledge their hard work and efforts

For 300 bucks it's likely unbeatable. But as long as you look at it from that lense. Color is okay still endlessly trying to tweak it to suit my likes as some content looks great and some content looks washed out. Also motion on this TV is not great. The only setting that is tolerable is custom on judder setting 2. Removed soap opera effect without being too juddery. Still have bad artifacting during fast motion scenes though. Local dimming however is excellent not only for the price but punches way above its weight. It's far better than my Sony x95j that was 5 times the price.

Picture looks great straight on. Blacks look amazing. Only thing wrong with this TV are the viewing angles. Looking at it from side view, the colors wash out

Bought this for a kid going to college. Beautiful picture and bright. Light with a small border which keeps the overall size down for a 50".

Best Bang for the buck. I had a 50" Panasonic Corporate Plasma Display panel for many years - colors were as natural as the plasma. Opted for this mini LED display - not disappointed at all. Runs cooler in my man cave - plasma panels runs hot. Did a lot of research before i bought this TCL QM5K because of great reviews and simplicity as apps are concerned. Google works fine, although I would never use some of its extra apps.

Works GREAT! The TCL and Google ap have so much to offer it’s overwhelming! Picture is fantastic! Easily connected to my Denon AVR so sound is outstanding. Only down side- I had to purchase a new remote and get it programmed to control TV, cable box and AVR. Nick (Htgn store) was super helpful and knowledgeable in helping me decide on the TCL and Hayden was great assisting with selecting a remote and advising on its use. No regrets so far! I have seen a “lost connection” to I-net a few times but it seems to resolve itself. The mini led gives a fantastic picture!

I would give it a 4.5 star review. Good color, contrast and brightness. Viewing angle is good for an LCD screen but it is not plasma or OLED as far as viewing angle. Great for the price.

The local dimming adds a lot of contrast and the colors are great

I was extremely impressed by the quality of image for the cost of this TV. It was well packaged, super light, and easy to mount!

Television was light weight. fit in my car and could bring it home right away. easy to set up and get programed for viewing. remote easy to understand

This TV is okay. Considering the quality I'm glad I got it on sale. For the most part the picture is good but I have had some issues. On the 1st one I got after 2 days the LEDs messed up in spot (it seemed that the LEDs were having a color issue since they displayed white but dimmed properly). I contacted TCL support and was told to exchange it at the store (which I did). The 2nd TV works as it is supposed to though there are little things I don't care for (which is more on the OS Google TV) like sometimes if you watch an app on another device when you go to watch it on the TCL it doesn't sync properly. You have to either go to settings (to clear the cache or stop the app) or restart the device. Also I don't like that when you turn it off it just goes into standby mode instead of fully turning off. The app sync issue would probably be fixed.

I previously had a Sony Bravia and this TCL is half the price, bigger in size, and has a better picture. The TV is made for watching sports, with its beautiful lighting and booming sound quality. So happy with this purchase. Also got a free 3 months of YouTube Premium with is nice since I watch a lot of videos!

We had bought another tv before this one. And the sound just was muffled. I did not like. Returned and bought this one. Wow. Love it. No issues and the sound part is great

I recently purchased the TCL 50” TV, and I’m very pleased with my experience so far. Very nice picture very bright a great tv no regrets

The TCL-50 QM5K is a excellent decision for buying a low priced quality TV. It was easy to setup the wireless networking and included Apps. This TV has great picture quality and the Sound is decent. It has many options for online streaming and built in Apps that help you get online access. My only gripe is its boot time takes a lot longer than I like.
