They weren't looking for a high end tv with tons of bells and whistles so i did alot of research for the best 50 inch tv for the money and i went with this one. No regrets!! TCL has really stepped up their product line in the last couple of years. Check out the online reviews. It's not a top of the line tv by any means, but it is a great buy for everything it offers. Great picture, easy set up and speakers that for this class of tv are actually decent.

Grandson's 15Th Birthday and Best Buy Delivers!!

I went directly to Best Buy and put in the qualifications. Not only did I find the perfect one, but for the best price. He was so excited when it arrived at his door. He turned 15 years old in February. He is loving it. Thanks, Best Buy! Plus, each year we renew our service membership to help us anytime we need our computers, televisions or appliances need a Best Buy Expert to install or diagnose any problems.

TCL 50”

The TV is made for watching sports, with its beautiful lighting and booming sound quality. So happy with this purchase. Also got a free 3 months of YouTube Premium with is nice since I watch a lot of videos!

First time with a smart tv and it's kinda weird that it makes you log in with google before you can do anything. Can't even change the input. A bit worried about when the. Cheap computer that runs the smart tv dies.

Sound quality as with all newer smart TV is pretty bland without a soundbar but is bearable. Bought while on sale for Black Friday 2025

For the most part the picture is good but I have had some issues. On the 1st one I got after 2 days the LEDs messed up in spot (it seemed that the LEDs were having a color issue since they displayed white but dimmed properly). I contacted TCL support and was told to exchange it at the store (which I did). The 2nd TV works as it is supposed to though there are little things I don't care for (which is more on the OS Google TV) like sometimes if you watch an app on another device when you go to watch it on the TCL it doesn't sync properly. You have to either go to settings (to clear the cache or stop the app) or restart the device. Also I don't like that when you turn it off it just goes into standby mode instead of fully turning off. The app sync issue would probably be fixed.

I wanted to find a 50inch mini led 4k with 120hz but that doesn’t exist in the 50inch size. This will do for a long while, watching content is perfect. The UI is easy to navigate. I mounted the tv to the wall, the bezels are pretty thin so be careful for fingerprints. Sound quality is downward firing but pretty good. If you’re putting it on a TV stand you or entertainment center it will be much louder.

Great picture and lots of features. Great for streaming. Still finding things that it can do. Like listening to music and being able to turn off the screen. For a budget tv it’s one of the best ones out there.

My husband said this tv is better than he expected. He loves listening to music on it. That’s how good the sound is. He said the sound is as good as the one we have in our living room with a soundbar!! I am beyond happy with everything about it and especially getting it 50% off, amazing buy!!!!
