    Screen went red 4 months after purchase. Im trying to work with Tcl to get it fixed. We will see what happens but not goodnthis happened already even if its resolved.

    Hands down best bang for your buck

    For anyone confused by TCL's model numbers.. This is a "55S435". The first number "55" refers to the diagonal screen size. S435 is the 2020 model. You'll also see S405 (2018 model) and S425 (2019 model). These models are all effectively the same technology, features, image quality, etc. They all include Roku built-in for free, to watch your favorite streaming apps. The newer model updates its aesthetics only- the bezel and stand, no change with the picture quality. Having explained this, these TVs are the absolute best bang for your buck if you aren't looking for top of the line OLED. TVs will always depend on your personal budget and the fact that TCL can support a 55 inch at $300-350 with a picture quality that is "good enough for every day use" is incredible.

    After about 5 days the picture had ghost images and would not work on any channel. I returned it and got another brand. I am not very pleased with TCL model televisions.

    Horrible experience all around. Wrong TV was delivered. Tried to get a resolution online. Nope. Called the 888 number and was transferred 10 different times and waiting 45 minutes each time.

You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet.     Easy instructions for setting up this television. Legs temporarily attached with no difficulty pending a wall mount. Picture was sharp and bright, no adjustments were needed. The Ruku remote will be familiar for Ruku users. Only criticism is the volume and mute control buttons are on the side, a little awkward but not a deal breaker by any means. This 55" is at the sweet spot for size and price, making it a good value. Ordered online, pulled up to the store and a representative brought it out without delay. Very pleased with BestBuy and the television.

    Great TV if you get it at $150-$200

    This TV is great if you were able to pick up one for $150-$200 when they were on sale. I feel like for that price point you can't go wrong. I currently own a Samsung QLED TV so I know what a High End TV should bring to the table. But this is a Bargain brand tv so lets treat it as such. Once you adjust the settings to your liking, this TV is a great pick up. The colors look great and blacks look good. In HDR mode I was impressed how it could handle the colors and Blacks wow it looked good with blacks. The only thing I was disappointed in was the overall brightness of the TV in normal mode and HDR content mode. It just couldn't get as bright as I would like it to be. There is a option to turn up the overall brightness but it's to intense and the picture ends up washed up. So I keep it at 54 brightness. Overall its definitely worth the $150 I paid for a cheap TV. Now for the current price at $300 Yeah right I wouldn't even consider this go look at something else in that price range or spend $150 more to get the TCL QLED 55in for $450. Wow for a $150 more you would be getting a Gigantic 3 model Upgrade. 5 series, 6 series, QLED series.....but for $150 this TV is awesome and delivers for it's $150 price.

    This t.v. works mostly great. However, the Netflix app often crashes or freezes the t.v. to the point where it has to be unplugged. The system software is up to date, and the Netflix software is up to date. This has happened the entire time we have had the t.v., but it is now happening all the time. Outside of the Netflix app crashing, the t.v. works great with the other apps and there are no issues.

    Replaced a 43 inch plasma tv with this 55inch Tcl,setup is very easy,already had a roku stick so used that as it has voice capabilities,tv has a very nice picture,sound is fine as far as i am concerned,have not made any adjustments to the default settings, only issue i had was i received a error message that the disc was full and could not load the channel?????,unplugged my Roku stick and all was well,may be a Roku/youtube tv issue,not TCL,my opinion for the average TV user you cant beat it for the price,also purchased the 5 yr warranty,just incase,

    Got what I paid for

    I decided to got with a "cheap" 4k set to upgrade my 13 year old Philips, and hold me over until the OLED panel that I really wanted is closer to a price I'm willing to pay for a TV. I wanted 55" 4K HDR smart TV and this was the cheapest that fit the bill. The Insignia was actually slightly cheaper, but I spent the extra $20 to get roku over fire tv. I wanted cheap, and I got what I paid for. This has one of the worst viewing angles I've ever seen on a TV in my life. If you sit directly in front, and I mean DIRECTLY, the image is quite good, significantly better than my old TV, the HDR really makes the colors pop. If you move off center even slightly (10° or more) all those beautiful colors just turn into a bright washed-out mess. Start in the center and move just a few feet either direction and watch the image shift to crap right before your eyes. Around 30-45 degrees off center I could not even stand to look at it anymore. If you plan to have more than 1 or 2 people watching the TV straight on, this TV is not for you. I do like the roku interface, setup was a breeze. TV is quick and responsive to commands for the most part. FYI, the pointless and obnoxious huge and bright white LED light that turns on when the tv is off can be disabled in the settings. If this is in a bedroom like mine, you're going to want to do that straight away.

    Quality TV

    I've had the TV for a few weeks now and I really like it. It was my first time buying a TV for myself so I was a bit nervous. The setup was simple technologically as well as the literal assembly. I purchased a TV mount from Amazon as well and it works perfectly with my 55". The picture is really good and same goes for the sound. It is a Roku TV, and so far I am happy with all the applications as well as the connection speed. Hopefully it lasts me many years to come!

    This TV was recommended by our son, who is our tech guy. Best Buy in Henrietta happened to have one in stock and we picked it up at the store within two hours of our on line purchase. The staff at the store was very helpful and assisted in getting it to our car and helped load it. The TV was easy to set up and has worked perfectly since then. I would certainly recommend this product and Best Buy.
