    You cant access directv stream or internet. Its a great tv but i bought it for these 2 reasons and it doesn't do either.

    Picture quality is horrible

    We got the Android version of this TV. The features were great. My wife used her Samsung galaxy and was able to link Google to it and all of the streaming apps linked right to the tv already signed in. Perfect setup. But, once we got it set up and went to actually watch something, the picture quality was absolutely horrible. We messed with the settings for almost an hour trying to see if we could get it watchable. But it never got there. Returned it the next day and exchanged for another TV. (the tcl qled which is amazing!)

    Greet tv just not what I wanted, I have the spectrum streaming tv and I thought I would be able to get the app on it in the tv however I found that it would require a Roku device.

    Roku fail

    Don’t buy TCL Roku. 1 year in all you get is roku reboots. Right in middle of shows takes 10 min. Happens every day. I like roku but getting it integrated in tv was a mistake.

    Died after only being turned on once

    Bought this a day ago, set it up last night and worked fine then, the only issue was that it was hard to get the controller to register with the TV. Turned it off last night and hasn't been on since. But tonight when I went to turn it on not but a few minutes ago the light came on at the bottom, but the screen stayed black. Would not turn off so had to unplug it to try to do a factory reset, but now the TV won't even turn on. I only got to see it on once and didn't even get to watch anything :( I love the android OS on it, though, and was really excited for it.

    Having issues after 2 months

    Using it in my bedroom. The TV gets very slow after couple of months. At times, the contrast gets weird and messes up the experience. Don’t buy it for living room.

    This TV offers an ok display, but picture is not as clear as you watch from an angle. We have had to also reset the tv a couple of times as the steaming services freeze.

    Android Apps Dont Work

    We ended up returning this item. The apps on the TV lagged BAD (Hulu, ESPN, and HBOMAX were unwatchable). We first checked if it was a wifi problem so we hard wired the TV. The apps still lagged! We then hooked up our extra 4k chromecast via the HDMI and everything worked fine. It seems like they still need to work out the kinks with the software on this TV. 2 stars for the price we got it for but nothing else.

    The Right Price for my child!

    55" TCL Android - need to add more instructions!

    Although I certainly enjoy this tv, as I'm learning about it, my complaint is with the fact that it came with very few instructions. Only how to set it up, not how to actually use it! An android isnt a regular tv and for many of us we have no clue as to exactly how to utilize it, nor does it give you instructions online. I think the manufacturer should have included more information or minimally a link to a site online with it. I even searched on the TCL website, nothing there to help us either!

    Light bleed around frame

    Have a Roku version of this TV that is awesome, couldn't resist the low price. Android TV is a bit more annoying than the roku version. Biggest problem though, there is a big light bleed middle top of the TV. Super bright spot right around the frame. My other TCL tv didn't have that. Not sure if it is just a problem with this model, or just my tv. Debating returning it and grabbing another or not.

    Mostly worthless as a UHD TV but works well in 1080 and standard 4k. Bought it for kids to watch cartoons and suck on so at the sale price I purchased it, good enough!

    Roku or AindroidTV?

    AndroidTV is just not as well designed as the Roku OS I find on most smart TVs including from TCL. The most disappointing part of AndroidTV is no private listening app as the lag from Bluetooth is much higher than on a phone or laptop, even with a low latency model of headphones. The system settings and panel settings aren’t as controllable or changeable as a roku based TV of the same model. Somehow the speakers are worse compared to the same model with Roku OS
