    Screen goes black then to Home Screen

    At least 5 or 6 times a day it just goes black. Then goes back to the Home Screen. Thinking I’m gonna have to buy a roku to hook up. Operating system is android and must no be stable. Watching anything and having the screen go black sucks.

    This TV is a decent value. However, it does not seem reliable over the long term. It started having problems displaying the home screen about 2 weeks after turning it on for the first time. There are a bunch of reviews stating the same problem.

    The reason the cost of the TV was lower than other brands is probably because the video quality is not good. The screen savers look great but for watching TV/movies/youtube it's often times too bright and washed out other times. Cannot connect to home device although it's supposed to be a smart TV.

    For anything more than 200$ its not worth it

    Picture quality isn't the best, dark scenes with fast movement has noticeable ghosting and sometimes the picture would just darken and wash out the colors randomly. its an ok tv for 200$ or less since its so big and the speakers are good but for anything more you are better off buying something else.

    Loud Buzzing/Humming noise issue

    Day 1 this tv had this audio issue and is almost unbearable in a small room. This seems to be a Quality control issue with the hardware because the TV itself is making the noise even while on Mute. Will be proceeding with a Exchange and if there is further issues then I will skip this model completely.

    5 stars for best buy. best customer service. free shipping and return. decent review on TCL. hope to get decent one at least like my current 6 years old 1080 TV. unfortunately, mine is the bad one and need to return. grainy, dark. can't make it better, after research, googling, etc. gave up.

    Good screen but slow

    So, I bought this with a good deal. I was interested in androidTV since I never had one before. It's probably this model that disappointed. It runs slow in the home screen and even main stream services are laggy. I'm using it with an old roku stick that runs smoother beside it has 2 years

    I have now had this TV for close to a year and would definitely not recommend. It often freezes, lags, and often in the middle of watching something it will abruptly stop and go back to the home page

    Tv keeps switching off.

    I bought this while the sale was ongoing. I have not used it until this year as I was still building to move into my home. I had it put up around May. From the day I started using it to this day it give me issues. I would put a movie to play and within minutes the tv constantly turns off on its own, forcing me to keep locking it on. I have had my wires checked, I had replaced my surge. I have ran a switch just to plug the tv. I have done the whole works to make sure it wasn’t a connection issue. To this day I can’t get to comfortably enjoy my tv because it keeps locking off. I tried to contact agents with no luck. I totally am disappointed my my television after wanting it for sling

    Not worth the hassle

    Had loud buzzing noise which got louder on bright scenes or when setting the tv brighter. Tried to resolve issue with TCL customer support. Customer support was slow to respond and gave me directions that did not apply to the menu of the tv. Told the tech support i already did factory reset at least three times prior and he still wanted me to try it again. So i did but the buzzing of course persisted. I told him it is probably a technical issue. Wait time was 30 minutes and one of the replies took over 10 minutes. The whole process took over one hour just for them to tell me to do a factory reset that did not work while giving me the wrong directions that did not apply to the model of the TV. It was alot faster to return it.
