    Tv picture is great and a wonderful size but sound quality is not good. It sounds like it is always muffled and you need to put the volume up high in order to hear what’s being said.

    3 years into owner ship it no longer turns on, the factory warrantly is up and tcl wont replace nor repair faulty tv

    I LOVED this TV so much. Picture, sound, and accessibility were amazing. Then 2 years after buying the LCD lights died. The TV was rendered broken. I do not think it's acceptable for a TV to only last 2 years. I have Toshiba's, VIZIOS, and Samsungs that are 10+ years old. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra for the longevity. I am extremely disappointed.

    Poor image quality in dark scenes

    While the size is good for the price this set cuts every corner possible and it shows. The picture quality is very poor in dark scenes. Tried to watch a few different things, Lord of the Rings on Bluray, Mandilorian, Spirited Away on Blu-Ray, End Game... Unfortunately any scene that is even slightly dark has bad smearing and ghosting effects. Played with every setting for about an hour and nothing seemed to work. It looks pretty good on bright scenes but the second something is moving in the dark it looks like grey, misty mush. The build quality feels OK but the power cord is only 4 feet long so I needed an extension cord just to reach from the TV to my outlet below. Really bizarre. Also the power cord is on one side of the TV but the inputs are on the other so bundling cables is a little tricky. Additionally, the power button is up and under the screen, behind the LED, which is again bizarre.

    NO DISNEY PLUS!

    I really want to rate this tv higher. I got it for HBO max and disney plus but disney plus isn't despite compatible with the tv despite it being pre installed! I called tcl support and was told it's a disney issue. This sucks! If it's advertised on the box and it's pre installed on the tv, it should work. Major bummer! If you don't want disney plus or spectrum, it's a good tv for the price.

    I liked the great price of this TCL TV. The product's screen quality is good and I properly managed to use my subscribed TV streaming services; Youtube, Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime.

    It's difficult for me to express how disappointed I am in this TV without getting banned for language. This is without doubt the worst television I have owned. The biggest Issue I have encountered it crappy HDMI support. When a PC is connected it begins to boot and before the boot has completed it loses the signal with the HDMI port displaying "no signal" . There are reoccurring issues when CC is on where I get blank white bars where the CC should be. Also you can not turn off the cc once they are on without a complete factory reset. The remote provided with the tv doesn't include a number pad or a cc button. TCL support was friendly but incompetent.

    Great value, not a good tv for gaming however.

    So at first I did love this tv, for the price I got it for its an incredible value. The colors look nice, I like the UI, its snappy. However I mainly got it to play video games on and its not the best. No matter in game mode or not the tv has a really weird effect where in dark, detailed areas when moving the camera all the details brighten up and it just looks off. I'm not sure what it is but its definitely some kind of post processing. I've turned off all the ones I can but nothing helps. This TV doesn't have as many options for picture clarity as I would like and there is something left on here that looks really bad in some scenes. It could be a faulty TV but I've seen this before on other tvs but I was able to get rid of it messing with the settings. Anyway if its just for movies and such you should enjoy this movie, but if you plan to play lots of games and notice things like this it will bug you until the end of time.

    buy the warranty! Soundbar Too!

    19 months then dead backlight. Don't buy without warranty! It had very good picture Quality. Good 60 fps gaming in game mode. sound quality was awful! still a good value $13 a month. The OLED I just replaced it with will have to last 9 years to be the same value.

    Good picture BUT no smart TV functions

    TV picture is great BUT it has some software issue where the smart TV portion won’t function without a Roku box, antenna or some other device to access programming. Defeats the purpose of a smart TV. Going to try to call customer support for a fix, not hopeful.

    Everything would be great if it had a good picture

    I was first told it was in stock at a store and when I got there it took 2 weeks for delivery. Ok. I understand. Then I got for $249 but took so long it’s now is $199. Quick drop I’m price. Anyways I take it home and unpack it. It looks nice. It’s a bright day so I just think the screen is alittle dark because of the daylight. So I take the box apart and bring to trash (hope I don’t mess myself over to return now). Now I see how the tv looks at night. It is so dim and has a brightness around the outside. It doesn’t have a even color across the whole screen. People are red and there is a haze over the whole screen like I’m looking through a fog. Maybe I got a bad one. Maybe it’s the 4 series. I would like to know if the 5 is that much better? If it is why produce such a poor quality tv at all. I wouldn’t be so unhappy with the tv if the picture was better.... but isn’t that the whole reason tv? For a good picture?

    Significant lag

    We got this to replace a 50” plasma Zenith that was well over 10 years old and had outlived its life. I was thrilled about it being a smart TV with Hulu and Netflix already integrated into it so I could ditch my Roku. This TV is so slow. The lag from when you press a button to when it responds is significant. I find the picture quality is also not crisp and actually think my older TV had a better picture. The user interface is also not as intuitive as the Roku or AppleTV. For what we paid for it, I’m hoping it lasts two years or we move this to another room and get a better quality TV. My advice: Spend the extra couple hundred bucks and get a higher quality TV and not a glorified monitor which is what this thing is.
